A great deal of the people I have met who are into Internet Marketing have lots of exciting goals. Most seem to be very capable people and want to get more out of life. Many have a goal of making enough income to be able to work from home and also be able to choose when they work etc. I know there is more to life than money, but when you reach the income level you are aiming for, where would you like to live? Let's say you were making enough money to be able to afford two homes, where would you choose to live and why? I am going to try and figure this out for myself. Sort of give myself a goal to work towards for myself and my family. It's not something I had thought of much before. Once you start making money online one can see that there are increased possibilities about where you can live. Perhaps give a couple of choices for your own country and then another two if you could live anywhere in the world. This could be a very motivational exercise. I hope so. So where would you like to live and why? |

I would like to live inside of ***** ******. Hmmm, as for "places".... I see myself having homes in 3 different places. Tokyo, New York, and possibly Rio. Then taking mini vacations within that structure. I enjoy large vibrant cities, and I enjoy many different kinds of people. I will probably build large social circles within those 3 places and have a really fast paced life. This is for sure, although not sure yet on Rio, that may swap out for another city. Sounds like you don't know yet where you want to go. |

This is something to really think about! Especially now since people are losing their homes right now. I actually really like my home that I live in right now and I love where I live! But if I could just take my pick and live ANYWHERE, I would love to live in Maui, Hawaii, Shell Beach, Ca and in Aquitaine Region of France- Southwestern area in the wine region. Absolutely beautiful there! Ahhh, just the thought of that place makes me relaxed..... |

A quiet island in the South Pacific. Iceland. New Zealand (but not a city). Right where I am now. Can you live at Disney World? All the best, Michael p.s. Kind of obvious I like my "alone" time??? |

On the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland. Actually, just moved here three weeks ago. Not quite on the water yet, but you gotta start somewhere. A couple years ago, I really (unrealistically for me and my family) fantasied about moving to Basel Switzerland. I know, about as far from the Chesapeake as possible, but I love that region. Antibes, south of France would be nice too. |

Shouldn't this be in the off-topic forum? It's a very interesting topic, but I don't see how it relates to Internet Marketing directly. Not trying to be crabby - just a suggestion...

I'd just like to figure out how to have a 10,000 sq.ft. "mobile" home. Then, you could live just about anywhere and move anytime. Also needs to be able to float, withstand high winds including hurricanes and tornadoes, resistant to EMP, secure against NBC attacks, etc. |

Hi, Perth, Western Australia. Because it appears to have been designed and built, based on my dreams, and my own personal version of heaven. It's also the most isolated city in the world and you can feel it. Not too much longer now |

I think it could be very motivational to actually give some thought to where one wants to live, especially as a direct result of ones Internet Marketing efforts. Especially as a goal of many is to work from home. So where should home (or homes) ideally be? | |

Michael, If you want to be alone, you might want to rethink that Disney thing. For me: In US : The Florida Keys The Florida Keys Anywhere in the world: Mexico Grand Cayman (summer house in Australia) OR.... ONE BIG A** BOAT! Then I could live EVERYWHERE. |

At this moment I do not know, but I have just initiated a plan to figure it out within the next six months. At the end of June 2009 I should be able to answer this question. I live on the coast in California. I enjoy the year round growing season. Roses are blooming right now and the farmers are havesting strawberries. I will do demographcis studies online. I will check weather. I don't want freezing winters or minimal freeze. I am guessing California, Hawaii, Florida. |

My husband and I love New Zealand and would be happy to retire there. I really liked Christchurch (stayed there for about a week), but I'd probably find a quiet place on the northern tip of the northern island for better weather.

Hi cclou, I loved Christchurch too, as well as quieter parts of Queenstown. But Christchurch - seems like a sleepy place in the day, but at night-time . I had some crazy times there. There's this Irish pub.....When I get to Perth, I will go for holidays in NZ and go and sit by the lake in Queenstown again, watching the waves move the pebbles back and forth, with the Remarkables as a back drop....sigh.... |

In a beach house just a few feet away from the sea . Anywhere in the world, but the most beautiful beaches and little islands are in Croatia for me. And just an hour away from where I live.

Im already living in a nice place (across from a lake, down the road from a beach), but when when I feel like taking out another (much larger) mortgage I plan to buy at least 20 acres of bushland with a small house on it so I can be surrounded by nature and wildlife and with as little human interference as possible. For now I'm quite happy having the beach 2 minutes away, there's nothing like starting the day with a walk on a long deserted beach. |

I am already living in the most beautiful place - right beside the Rio Grande in Inland Costa del Sol, Spain. If we could have the weather from Central America here it would be perfect. Although on cool days I get more work done. ![]() I would like to have a home on a beach - but it would have to be a private beach as I don´t do tourists..... TheWebWizz |

I like where we are now in the south eastern suburbs of Melbourne but I dream of buying my own home in Canterbury which is a beautiful old suburb of Melbourne. I'm not sure I'd want two homes, I'd rather travel and rent beautiful places as we go. I'm sure working online is going to help me buy that house in Canterbury, Australia. |

Beverly Hills..that's where I want to be..Beverly, Beverly Hills! Ok, sorry about the Weezer song. The thread made me think of that song ![]() I love beaches (maybe because my name means "the ocean"? whatever). I'd like to live in Mauritius. Maybe a high rise apartment in Sydney too. Is there anything up for grabs on Mt. Everest? And how about that colony on the moon everyone has been talking about - is it complete yet? :P j/k. Sagar |

This thread brought me to lala land!!! I think I would travel first.....and see where I'd like to live. BUT I think I would like to own atleast 2-4 homes...all in different places. I live in chicago now...and sometimes the snow just makes me want to move somewhere warm, but during the summertime...it makes me want to live somewhere where there's snow. I'd have a beach house somewhere, maybe 2 beach houses. A place by a skiing resort, and another...that would keep me grounded and remind me where I came from.

Still looking... The fact that my wife has some say-so in the matter makes it a bit more difficult. Somewhere that doesn't get nearly as much rain as where I live now (western Washington state). Somewhere that doesn't get terribly hot in the summer. We visited southern California recently, and liked the 70 degree January weather. But it gets too damn hot in the summer. And with the water getting low in the northern California reservoirs, the hydro plants may soon not be generating enough electricity to send much juice south. It's a difficult decision. We may just travel until we fall in love with a place. John |

The Maldives would be my dream, although I've never been there. Maybe I'll make enough to test drive it for a fortnight and then see. Failing that, any of the Caribbean islands, somewhere in Australia or New Zealand, Fiji - anywhere with sun, sea and sand really! James |

If it were for the U.S. I would have a nice cozy cabin/house in Vermont, because I love snowboarding and Vermont has excellent mountains. My second house would be San Diego. 70-80 degrees year round, beautiful ocean and beaches, the people are very relaxed...you really can't beat that. That would be my goal, however it all depends what you love to do and the climate you like.

I would live anywhere I wanted to. That's not a glib answer, that's the dream. To be able to say "I think I'll move to _____ for a while" or "I think I'll spend the spring in New York City", how cool would that be?

I would go back "home" to Ireland ... would love to live anywhere around Ireland, Scotland, England or Wales. What I've seen of New Zealand on TV looks so beautiful also ... so that is my 2nd choice. But would love to take extended vacations around the world ... stay 3 months (or longer) in each key spot to really take it all in. I just love to travel and it's been so long since I last did so - really miss it. |
