I dunno.. I really only use it to play Angry Birds and not much else.

There's lots of activity from people in my.. streams? Circles? Whatever it's called.

  • I Don't agree for a second. It is officially bigger than twitter, and with the API more developers will integrate it with existing technologies. Also it actually just released access to the general public. Google+ will be big.

    Wow, that was quick.

I don't know about you guys, but I just recently noticed the "+You" on the google homepage. I'd give it a good year before stating something like that.

Thanks for your insight guys... I still don't quite know what to make of Google+ yet, but good to see an alternative viewpoint than what I read in WebProNews.
    cheers

Premature talk imo. Google is too big to let this fail so quickly. The Google home page has a gigantic blue arrow pointing to + You which is probably the beginning of a promotional avalanche.

It's not dead. It if anything is just beginning, it takes time to perfect something like this.

I think it's someone trying to promote something of their own.

Google+ is far from dead and is gathering members very rapidly. Google will pull the plug on sites that don't perform but it's a bit early to consign Google+ to the grave. Think it's got some miles in it yet - a lot of people really like it!

......way too early to come to that conclusion. It hasn't even hit critical mass yet.

If it's not dead, it will go the way side of wav and buzz. Remember, those where suppose to be huge to. Google will keep it around though. It's an easy way for them to get more personal data on "you."

As far as Google+ being bigger than Twitter, well I'm sure it is "bigger" since all gmail users get easy access but is it more ACTIVE than Twitter?

My friends and I use the huddle feature the most on our android phones... better than aim, it's always on, and its quicker than text messaging.

Also the circles feature on G+ is a must, facebook will eventually have to implement that feature soon to weed out certain people from getting your status updates and posts.

Already done. Called lists. IMHO circles was the only thing G+ had going for itself.

The difference between wave and + is that people know what to use google + for. I personally prefer + to facebook because I can jump in and out and don't have to wade through peoples wall garbage.

Is that the reason Big G has a call to action to the Google Plus icon on the page every time you go to Google.com?

Unfortunately most IM'ers always have to jump on the bandwagon just in case "the latest thing" goes bananas.

Looks like this one has crapped out

See how effective a controversial headline works?

I've seen this done so many times for various things:

    ARTICLE MARKETING IS DEAD
    SEO IS DEAD
    PPC IS DEAD

Yet, we still make money each and everyday using these dead tactics.

    We must be zombies.

I agree with someone who said in this thread that this post is just a way to get attention and attract many readers. How can Google+ be dead if it is just beginning its journey? We cannot predict anything because we didn’t have enough time to observe the results of this new social networking site. Only now it is open to the public.

I remember than when Twitter first appeared online I didn’t like it. I used it for a while and I abandoned it. It was totally different in the beginning.

I started using Twitter again only because everyone else was doing the same, and I had to follow what was happening online.

Let’s wait and see what Google+ will be tomorrow before making conclusions based on mere suppositions.
