Made my first Fiverr money

Sure it's a small victory but I was surprised at how quickly I got my first order. Got a gig writing an e-book review, and fired off an article, made the customer happy, and made me a few quick bucks. Here's hoping it keeps up

Did you just deleted the gig? I can't see it on your Fiverr. I'd like to see if I can do it also. Make a few bucks and get a website before I do my article marketing.

Good on you to actually experience making money online.

It will now make a believer in you and if you nurture that
experience, you'll be able to leverage on that victory and
    make more in the future.

    Always keep on taking action.

    Congrats!

It should still be there. It's called "I will write a professional 400+ review of your website or product for $5". I just checked it and it's still online.

I just posted it up there and linked my gig list in my signature here. What is your gig?

If it's your first gig you might want to look at your competition a little and lowball yourself. For instance, I wrote articles at Fiverr. At that time, a lot of people were offering one article for $5, but they had the testimonials to support their work.

So I offered one article and two rewrites, that got me noticed and helped me start building a client base there.

      Hope this helps

Congrats on getting your first order done, it will motivate you even further now. But I suggest staying away from Fiverr in the future when you develop even more, because it's not worth it for like ~$3.90 in profits, you can definitely do better (well, except if you're delivering like 10+ gigs / day)

Ah. It's probably that the buyer didn't provide a feedback. I was expecting to see a thumbs up there. I forgot to add - Congratulations!

Fiverr gets $1 the rest goes to you. I'm not sure if Paypal takes a cut from your $4.

Congratulations WriterParty! Fiverr is a great place to get started. Although the pay is low, you can position yourself to make money using this site.

If you can get 20 clients on fiverr (try to get contact info without violating TOS), contact them, let them know you are taking your gig down and will be charging your normal rates.

If your writing is good and your clientele are pleased, know that they can monetize using your services, they will follow you.

Think of fiverr as starting in an office at a low level. Not too many people can get a job starting out in upper management. Starting your way at the bottom and working up should be your goal with fiverr.

Before writing your gig, take some time to research what other people used in their profile and the content in their gigs. Also note the tags. The tags are important. Read a few samples, especially the ones that are on the first or second page under "Writing."

Another tip - if your client sends you their email and/or phone number, contact them to let them know how much you appreciate their business and look forward to working with them again in the future (on fiverr). If they have not left feedback, remind them. Gaining a positive reputation is an important part of fiverr.

Keep a list of your clients. Some will be more important than others. If you have a client who has many blogs/websites, that client is considered an A candidate to bring you future business.

Create more than one gig. Create several:
I will [write an original article] for $5.
I will [write an original blog post] for $5.
I will [edit your article] for $5.
I will [rewrite your article] for $5.

Be sure to include the number of words you are willing to do.

    Good luck!

Nice job! Fiverr is good for pocket money but it takes FOREVER to clear your account so you can actually use it. There are a ton on people on here who are cranking out money on Fiverr. I am not that dedicated though haha

Could be Photoshopped, I suppose, but Sam's got the gig volume to support it. And he gets lots of tips.

    Hi WriterParty,

Great to hear that and congrats on your first sale!

It may be low at first. But it is indeed a great place to start at Fiverr.

However, try to rethink your strategy and see if you can scale it up further. Hopefully you can get what I mean.

    Cheers,
    Raymond

Titles are important. You need to use words people search for. It's not always obvious. What does your title say?

If this is a custom WordPress theme, yes, you should say so. I would use the word custom instead of unique.

Better yet, create a number of variations on this gig and use different keywords in the title for each.

Finally, you need videos on each one. Doesn't have to be fancy-schmancy but a video will get you more exposure.

Fiverr is nice for outsourching, but to make money? Idk.. Only problem I have tho is that as soon as you try outsource something that WORKS, people just run off and make money on their own with it instead =) kind of a little paradox

I'm happy to hear you made some money online. 99% of the warrior forum have not made money online. His good start small, start using Elance or odesk to offer services, you will make a lot more money if you use these two.

More than the 5 bucks, of course, is that you're beginning to establish an online "presence" and a following. Important thing is to OVER-deliver when you do work. People won't hesitate to check out all your services and pay your regular prices for other things because you've built up TRUST.
