New Member With Some Questions

Hello everyone, I'm a new member and I was wondering if any one could offer me some help. First let me do some background, Im 16 years old I do currently have a job but unfortunately do to my age I am only allowed 20 hours a week. Between car insurance and saving for college I am constantly coming up short. Anyway much like my real life job there are also restrictions on the internet due to my age such as not being allowed to use Adsense (and I unfortunately can not use a parents). I am currently looking towards the internet as a second income. I understand the internet like real life takes work and I'm not looking for any get rich for clicking one ad or anything like that. I'm actually currently looking towards Fiverr and in particular the Social Marketing aspect as I can see even in the small Highschool im in many peoples live revolve around Social Networking.

My main thing I was unclear about was how people manage to give 250 likes to a fan page or give Twitter followers in such quantity. I have found websites that claim to give likes or followers but there prices are in the hundreds and I'm confused how 5 dollars covers those prices. Anyway if any one could help me I would be extremely grateful. If you want to PM that's alright with me 100%.

I just want to thank everyone in advance for taking the time to read this and I appreciate it!

Thanks.
Alves

I think they have a bunch of low quality accounts setup in most cases. Your goal is probably traffic, and these likes may not provide that to you.

It is okay to contact me! I have been developing software since 1999, creating many popular products like phpLD.

    Hi there,

Good to see someone so young with so much ambition. It's a great idea to pay for as much college as you can. Trust those of us who will be paying off huge student loan debt for the rest of our lives, lol.

For the most part, services like that (the "I'll get you 500 followers for $5) are complete and utter junk. What they tend to do is target accounts that auto-follow, like bots and spam accounts. If someone is genuinely looking for followers that they can make money off of, it's a waste.

If you're interested in social media though, you can still post gigs on Fiverr. Setting up a Facebook fan page for a company, for example. That's a legitimate way to earn some money.

In terms of other ideas, I don't think Clickbank has an age policy. Don't quote me on that, you'll want to check their Terms of Service to make sure. If you go to Clickbank.com and click Marketplace you can browse products. These are all information products other people are selling that you can earn a commission off of.

Let me give you a concrete example here: Let's say you want to sell products related to World of Warcraft. There's quite a few on Clickbank, but what you'll want to do is type "keyword tool" into Google and click the first link there. Type in "World of Warcraft" and see what people are searching for.

Gold is always a big topic, so you'd go back to Clickbank and look for products that tell players how to make gold. Then you'd invest some of your money from your offline job into buying web hosting and a domain. You can get both pretty cheap these days. For your domain you'd choose a good keyword, like "wowgoldguidereviews . com " or something that's obviously not taken already.

Install Wordpress on that site, choose a nice theme, and then start writing reviews of Clickbank products. In this case, WoW gold guides. Use information from other sources (other reviews, the product listing, the sales page, word of mouth, etc.) to build your reviews but NEVER plagiarize! If you're intimidated about writing your own content, you can search for "World of Warcraft PLR" and spend a few bucks to get content you can post on your site with just a simple rewrite to suit your purpose.

Then in Clickbank you'd sign up for an affiliate account and go back to those products. They will then allow you to collect an affiliate link. Use that link in your review, and every time someone clicks your link and buys the product, you get a commission. Usually 50-75%.

This is an absolute bare bones plan for you to get something up and running. Search for free guides on "affiliate marketing" and stuff like "how to write a product review" for more information. You can also PM or email me if you have specific questions.

    Best of luck!
    - Courtney

Oh and one more thing - once you get some experience under your belt and you've made some money online you can share your method with others and make your own information product. Maybe an ebook or video series geared toward people like yourself: Teenagers looking to get some extra money to pay for college.

    Hi,
If you are broke and want to start out without purchasing a host account and domain name, try using some of the free places first, such as Squidoo.com, Hubpages.com, etc. Be sure, as mentioned previously, that you read and follow the Terms of Service (TOS), so that you are not locked out of your accounts.

When you have the funds, build your own websites, but until then use the free ones to get started.

As for Twitter, I just started following people who looked interesting to me, and some of them followed me back. It takes a little time, though. Don't try to build too fast or Twitter may ban your account. Again, the TOS has the answers you need.

Courtney: I really appreciate the time you took to write such a detailed response! Also I really like the idea of the ebook and or videos to help others in my situation.

Edit: (Wanted to send this PM but not enough Posts) I like your Clickbank Idea. i would say I am rather computer savvy but it would save me time to buy a pre made niche site that supports Clickbank. Do these actually work and if so is there any one you recommend purchasing from?

      Thanks
      ~Alves
purplecone: I do have starting money but yes the cheaper (if free) the better as spending large sums of money kind of will take me backwards as I don't have the most in the world, and thanks for the response!

        Hi Alves

Some very sound advice from Courtney there. I would agree and support what's bee said.

On the matter of costs. If you look around (below), you can find plenty of free advice on how to keep startup cost to a minimum.

Probably as your very new, taking the Affiliate marketing route would be the easiest way to get started, and offer you an opportunity to learn the ropes in a a structured way.

Good Luck in your endeavours. At 16, you have plenty of time to take your time. Just pace yourself, and concentrate on one thing while you learn to earn.

        Cheers
        Alan

    Hi Alves ...

wow ... I wish I had started this when I was 16 .. that is very cool ...

Getting followers etc on twitter & fb isn't really too hard if you are sharing great info. Follow well know people to start ... Joining in on coversations, retweeting etc. Just be real & people will notice that. It will get you much further online than using automated systems ... or paid likes etc.

There is another guy I know of in the WF who is 16 and doing really well online from what I hear .. maybe you could connect with him ... Caleb Spilchen I think is his name ...

    anyhow good luck !
