Google Analytics Best Practice
I use Google Analytics for WordPress on my blogs, and have done by default for as long as I have been making money on line.
I basically use it for tracking visitor numbers, keywords used to find my site, locations... the standard stuff.
I got to thinking though, am I using the data to its full potential? I haven't gone into any depth with the goal setting options or anything advanced within the interface.
Is there a benefit for example, of tracking each page, rather than setting the plugin to virtually its default mode? Should I be copying and pasting Googles code into every post I make on my sites and doing the associated admin within the Analytics dash?
Your wisdom would be appreciated, and if you don't use WordPress, then reply anyway as I am sure there are other Warriors that would benefit from your use of GA.
If anyone knows of a decent guide to Analytics, feel free to drop an ebook name in too. I want to continue to develop my sites, but I am sure I am leaving $$ on the table because I'm not analysing the data to the depth I should.
Thanks in advance
