I am really upset with 2checkout...

I am really upset.

I spend last 3 months setting up the entire
system in 2checkout. I did severe testing,
studied their system and setup order processing
system and affiliate management system in 2checkout,
and this is the email they send me today. Literally
this wasted huge amount of my time and efforts.

I did not go with paypal becoz i was afraid
they will shut down the account becoz of IM
products, but I never imagined 2co will do that
becoz I have been with them since last 4 years.

Paypal previously shut down my account and now
its 2co with 7 days warning.

Has anyone received such an email from 2checkout,
if yes, what could be the reason. It's a polite email
with no reason specified. Infact I have 3 accounts
with 2checkout and the one they are shutting down
is brand new with not even one transaction done within
it. I have mailed them to ask reason and the status of
my other 2 accounts, whether they will continue with them
or not...

----------------------------

Dear Vendor

Thank you for selecting 2Checkout as your payment processor.
Unfortunately, due to increased regulations recently placed on us, we
will no longer be able to support your account. 2Checkout will continue
processing payments for you through September 30, 2011, at which time
your account must be closed.

We are truly sorry for any inconvenience this causes you and would like
to assist you in finding a new home for your payment processing needs.
Based on your account requirements, we suggest you contact Total-Apps.
Total-Apps is a payment processor that focuses on sellers with products
and services similar to yours.

Please note that any balance owed to you by 2Checkout, as of the date
your account is closed, will be held for approximately 90 days to cover
potential refund or chargeback activity. Feel free to contact us if you
have additional questions or if you require any assistance in
transitioning your business to a new provider.

Again, we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you. We wish you and your business great success in the future, and we thank you for
allowing 2Checkout to serve you.

------------------------------------------

I contacted total apps and they said that many of the 2co shut down accounts are coming to them and they donot know the reason why is this happening and they are partners of 2checkout.

I have omitted paypal and 2checkout from my list. Click bank is not a feasible option for accepting payments for 32 products that contains high ticket packages and membership sites. Alertpay does not have an affiliate tracking system. Payspree and paydotcom again uses paypal to accept payments.

Is there any thing left I can use to accept payments for my products, specifically IM products in make money and internet business newbie niche without any issues and also have an integrated affiliate management system. I am really upset with all this.

I am not sure about plimus, have not checked it out. What you guys are using and what's working for you smoothly.

Thanks for your help...

      Hi Murtuza,

I can sympathise with you, but it looks like the reason is this -

Unfortunately, due to increased regulations recently placed on us
It's logical - if paypal are pushing people out, then eventually 2CO will have to protect themselves from the same regulations, and protect themselves from paypal withdrawing their consent for 2CO to use them if all those who got pushed out of paypal go to 2CO in order to use paypal.

I don't have this problem myself, but I've been following the flurry of recent paypal threads with interest.

      Hi Murtuza

Sorry to hear of the problems you are experiencing.

Can you possibly elaborate on what your products are, or what method you are using to market them?

We are currently in the process of setting up to use 2CO as our payment processor and have already spent several hours on the phone with their sales, risk management and technical support representatives - and so far it has been a great experience.

Would be very interested to get more details.

      Thanks

I have been using 2checkout for 4 years without any issues. Their customer support system and order processing system is great. I don't know about the sudden changes that has arrived in their compliance policy wherein they are planning to shut down my 4 year old account.

If you are planning to use 2co it will be better that you get each of your products reviewed before you start your campaign, this will protect you from a sudden shock...

Thanks for the heads up, we will definitely heed this advice!

As for AlertPay, we looked into it and actually liked it, as a developer I was particularly impressed by the documentation they had for their payment notification system. And for the most part the reviews (on this forum and others) seemed mostly positive. I understand however that for IM users their fees can be fairly steep.

One thing that intrigued me was that AlertPay has a representative (Chris) here on the Warrior Forum, that indicated that they were interested in doing business with IM'ers. However they don't accept PayPal as one of their payment methods, which may be a limitation in selling IM products.

I also was interested that their headquarters are right here in Montreal, and had even considered going down to meet with them before taking the plunge. Now that we are strongly considering 2CO it probably isn't necessary. But in your case they also have an office in India - in fact the two gentlemen who started AlertPay have Indian heritage (as do I for a matter of fact). You may want to contact them there and discuss your needs.

What reason did PayPal give you for shutting you down previously?

previously they shut down as they said I am promoting MLM networking marketing products. I tried to explain them they were simple IM products and there was no MLM going on. They refused to investigate and they shut down the account.

The strange part is that recently I mailed them the same products asking them to review and tell me whether they are acceptable and their compliance dept. said that they are acceptable and I can use paypal.

However I guess this completely depends upon the staff and his mood who is checking the products.

I am frightened to use paypal because I don't want to risk setting up a huge system and JV's and affiliates and one day find some of their staff rejecting everything getting me back to square one.

However I got lucky with 2checkout as they banned them before I launched my campaign or else it would be a HUGE pain in the wrong place...

It is better to put the initial work rather being sorry later on when the traffic and sales are pouring in.

I am really hunting for some safe and reliable solution that makes things work smoothly. Anyone knows of such an order processing system integrated with affiliate management...

I havent used 2 checkout but in researching their business, I found the approval process to be too strenuous. Plus I hear they charge you to sign up.

Perhaps you should try alertpay, their approval process is much easier.

Yeah, I just checked alertpay. Does anyone use alertpay to sell IM products? Are they strict like paypal and 2checkout and suspend accounts all of a sudden?

Also what I have seen is that they donot provide affiliate management system. Is there any software or an integrated system that can integrated with alertpay to track affiliate sales?

      Thanks for your help...

      Hi Murtuza

From the list of products you are selling nothing seems to be out of the ordinary. I assume that each product has a sales page that complies with 2CO's terms of service? How are you marketing these products, anything unconventional?

If you have an individual product that you are selling online for $19,000 dollars that may indeed be a red flag - not to mention it exceeds the limit on many peoples credit cards. I'd look into that product if I were you . And I have to confess, I'm curious as to what single IM product would sell for 19K? If you could sell one of those every two months you's be doing pretty good!

They do charge you to sign up and they do have an application process. We are going through it now, and rather than being turned off by it we are happy to comply. They have spent hours on the phone with us, answered all of our e-mails and have actually written custom code for us - and we have yet to pay them one penny. We feel that all this time expended now will establish a good working relationship with them, and the sign-up costs are trivial.

To be fair we have never had an issue with PayPal and have had good dialog with them as well, however based upon the experiences of others we don't feel confident using them as our only payment processor.

We have also looked at AlertPay and were interested in them, but 2CO accepts more payment options (including PayPal) and seems to be a better choice for our needs.

Regarding the marketing system I will be using to promote my products includes joint ventures, affiliate marketing, list building, article marketing and forum posting along with solo ads.

Regarding the 18k product it is a yearly traffic generation seo service. Not a physical product, it is a tough service to be delivered using a team of outsource people. However, you're right this could be the red flag and I have contacted 2co that I am willing to remove this service. However this is their recent reply...

        ----------------------

        Hello Murtuza,

Sadly, this is not so much a decision made by 2Checkout, but a calibration of our requirements as mandated by our providers. We have no option in this case, as the products themselves, as well as the way that are marketed are considered high risk. We have many accounts that had excellent standing with us which we are no longer able to support. We explored all options before taking this action, and I apologize again for the inconvenience. I'm sorry for the time that you have spent becoming acquainted with our affiliate system.

I really do hope that you will be able to find a suitable solution, and I wish you abundant success in the near future.

        ------------------------------

They are not willing to clearly pinpoint the problem...

I have been with 2CO, Paypal & Alertpay all of three.

    1) paypal - Due to many informations available on Internet, i was also basically afraid of doing my business with them so I opt out with them

    2) Alertpay - Great alternative but have some restrictions on working. I get the Business verified Account for my IM site and they accepted it. They will individually verify the site for accepting Credit Cards. But since the Alertpay has some working restrictions like having multiple sale handling during a single checkout process, I linked my Alertpay account with www.mals-e.com. I had to get the server assigned to me also verified by Alertpay in order to accept Credit Cards.

    3) 2CO - Been using it also in one of my website of IM till now its working fine. But may the problems is due to the type of Products & type of IM industry matters for having the issue I guess.

    Hope this helps

With PaySpree you can choose to accept AlertPay, PayPal or Moneybookers. So you can accept payments via AlertPay, and your affiliates can still be paid whichever way they choose.

Plimus don't like IM products from what I understand.

AlertPay are cool with IM products. Besides you have to get each site you sell from approved by them before they allow you to accept credit cards. Rather than being a barrier, I like this as it gives you a sense that they're happy with what you're doing and not going to pull the rug from under you.

I have my own PaySpree account set to take AlertPay payments.

    Hello All,

I am the recent victim of 2CO, Yesterday they closed my account without any notification & reason. Havebeen using there services from past 4 months & was providing web marketing services through my website.

""Hello,2CO has decided it is not in our best interest to engage in a business relationship with you.The account has been closed.""

Isn't it a unprofessional way? Seems they have no loyalty with their customers. I contacted them & they said the reason for closing the account is that I placed some orders on your customer behalf which is not allowed. Which is totally a lame statement coz i didn't did it.

Anyways.. Now i am concerned about the pending money left in my account. which is more then 5000 bucks. The status of my account is "p".. When will they send me the pending balance?

    anyone??
