Hello Warriors.
I am trying to ranking for a keyword with about 22,000 competiting urls. What do you think I can do to get to page 1 position 1 on google. Below is what I have in mind and some questions.

Create 10 blogspot blogs with a backlink on each to the article in EZA
Create 10 wordpress blogs with a backlink on each to the article in EZA
Bookmark all the blogs to at least 6 social sites like digg, reddit e.t.c
Create 1 squidoo lens with backlinks with the article in EZA
Try to get at least one link from each other the 10 top sites.

Now my question is : Do you think that will help me rank number for my particular keyword? If yes how long do you think it would take.

Second question : Which do you think I should submit my article too ? EZA OR Blogger or Wordpress. I understand EZA has some authority but Blogger is own by google. Do you think I should submit the original article to Blogger and just try to get back links to it from other sources or Use EZA or Wordpress?

    Hi yommys01,

22,000 competitor is not so tough, here is what I will do:

    1. Use original article on your site or blog with your keyword on the URL
    2. Submit 1 article to EZA, pointing to your site.
    3. Rewrite your original article or use another article and creat 1 Squidoo lens, pointing to your site (remember to use your keyword as achor text)
    4. Create 1 page on hubpage, use your spinned article, create 1 backlinks, again oiting to your site.
    5. Repeat the process on wordpress.com and...
    6. Blogspot
    7. Other free blog or site that you can find. Msn live, yahoo, freehostia etc
    8. Submit all your site RSS to rss aggregator site, use automatic submission software like RSSsubmit.
    9. Put your Site RSS to your Squidoo lens, hub, blogger blog and your other site. Also put your Lens RSS to your blogger etc.
    10. Digg and bookmark all your site.

I think this should be enough for 22,000 competitors.

    Good luck

        yommys01,

All other site should become a backlinks to your site, in other word, they are all pointing to your site.

You see, EZA, blogger and other sites I mentioned earlier are already have their ranks on the search engine. Your site is not, so by creating backlinks from those sites to your site, you will create a good position to your own site.

By creating a backlinks TO your site from different free blog/site, you will also gain backlinks from different IP's. This will strengthen and also further securing your position if you manage to reach the 1st position on search engine.

EZA is good, but you need more than that to compete.

I'm having some difficulty with my article/squidoo campaign. There's only a limited amount of good, relevant and unique content that can be used in each artcle on a particular sub-topic. Various people in this thread have mentioned using an article in different places, but how much does it have to be changed to make it an almost unique article in each place? Or, more to the point, how little does it have to be changed? I can write articles on the same subject until the cows come home but I can't keep them all unique. Will Yommys01 manage with just a few changes here and there?

And a question for Yommy himself: you mention creating 10 wordpress blogs for this keyword/subject. Will you just be doing one post in each blog or will you continue to make regular posts to each blog for months to come? I thought blogs had to be consistent to gain rank. I could be wrong - I usually am.

Enquirer, I only use original article on EZA and my own site.

All other site are using duplicate content, bcoz I only use them for backlinks. Or you can just rewrite the first 100 words if you want to increase the quality for the search engine spiders.

Right, backlinks only. You're not bothered about page rank for those other sites/.blogs/article directories. Got it!

Doesn't EZA mind if you have the same article on your own site?

I think hey don't mind if you post it to your own site after your article go live on EZA.

I never did that though, I submit to EZA to presell or introduce readers to the 'meat' on my site,so the article on my site should be more detailed.

Thanks for the advice on this thread particularly.. I spent too much time thinking about interlinking when I should have been submitting articles.. as the saying going Keep it Simple Stupid (KISS)

@fullmatrix thanks for your recommendation but that does not answer my question. Where should I try to get the backlinks to? EZA, Blogger, Wordpress or my own site? I just must rank number 1 for this particular keyword. The competition doesn't look tough but we never can tell as many people are targeting that keyword according to my research.

    yommy,

While you are trying to figure out all this, you are wasting time while those others are submitting articles about it.

    Step 1: SUBMIT SOME ARTICLES!

There is a chance that your articles will rank highly WITHOUT all this backlinking...especially if they kick ass!

What you describe above will take a LOT of time and maintenance in order to make it work. Weigh the pros and cons of your plan vs. just submitting more articles with minimal off-page optimization and making it much easier.

You can still work your articles after they are submitted.

    Work smarter, not harder.

Article submitted, waiting for approval. I would have prefer to join submit the article and wait for google to outrank others for me but the level of the competition doesn't allow that.

The result of my result shows so many people are already targetting that keyword which means I have to work extra hard in order to out rank every one.
