Have Singular Domain, but want to Rank for Plural version.. Easy?

I previously was targeting this one 3 word plural keyword and using a domain name with "info" add at the end. During that time I managed to pick up the EMD of the keyword, but the singular version. The singular version does not get as much as search as the plural.

After the recent the Panda update my original plural version site got hit and is no where to be seen in the SERPs. Previously it was ranking in the top 3 and with 30-40 visitors a day just for that keyword.

Now I have my singular EMD domain rankin on the 3rd page for the singular version. What I was thinking is trying to convert and focus that site on the plural version as well. All I need to do is add an "s" to the places I use the singular version and adjust the title tag as well. The start getting backlinks using the plural version alot more compared to the singular version.

Even though my domain is EMD, but for the singular version would it be easy to start ranking for the plural version now? Right now that site is not ranking for the plural version at all.

Or would it be better now to start working on the singular version to get it ranking on page 1 before focusing my backlinks on the plural version?

So far I have one main article on the homepage 500+ words and optimized for the singular version. Should I start adding the other articles using the plural versions or singular version to help with ranking the singular version first?

Anyone have any feedback?
