A lot of people say you can learn a lot from WF.

What EXACTLY have you learnt that supports the argument?

I don't have time to write a comprehensive list, because it'd be like 500 pages long.

I have learnt about the following:

    1) List building
    2) Understanding what SEO is
    3) How to create a sales page
    4) How important it is to build a relationship with your list
    5) How to package a product
    6) How to create an info product
    7) The importance of being ethical in everything that you do online (and in life of course)

There's loads more, but that is from the top of my head at 5am in the morning

The major thing I have learnt from this forum is to think bigger. My thinking and ideas when I first joined the forum a few months ago were tiny and limited. This has completely changed since being in the forum.

I have actually learned that if one can write articles, they can also write reports that can be almost as powerful as article marketing in a more viral sense, in that people can actually hand the PDF report around to others.

All of the above plus....I learned that you have to stick to a certain method and not jump from one strategy to another to be successful. I now know that most of the IM methods out there work but not everything would work for everyone.

More importantly, I learned that there are no short cuts and that it would take a lot of time and effort to be successful in this field.

    Hello Everyone,

As a newcomer to WF and th IM world, I learned new traffic sources besides SEO to attract visitors to my website.
    - article marketing
    - commenting, forum posting
    - learning and improving a few traffic sources instead of learning massive amounts at once
    - building a list (I still really don't know how to do this)

The most important thing I learned in WF is that IM is serious business. Many of the WSOs that I have followed said it was easy. Many claim that by purchasing a plug-in that autopost content to the website, your website will be ranked high leading to exponential increase in traffic. Then these autopost will send automatic feeds to social bookmarking sites which will further drive traffic into your site. They made it seem that IM is a "hands free" system to make money. However, from the results that I have seen so far, robotic messages does not provide LOTS traffic (or good traffic as a matter of fact) and it also isn't very attractive to real people.

It is difficult to post unique and relevant content everyday so I guess my next option is outsourcing. I still don't know much about this and would like to know more about it.

This post become much longer than I thought, but just from looking around this forum I learned a lot! :]

      Hi AdwordsMogul,

What EXACTLY have you learnt that supports the argument?
      ....that -

      'fortune favours the bold' (Ovid)

...and that being around and conversing with those who are trying to achieve similar goals is much better than being around and conversing with those who are not (everyone else).

I learned quite a bit about marketing in general, and copywriting. But also a few things about human nature. Such as that people are willing to undersell themselves for a quick buck. And that people hate marketers who sell "magic bullets", yet seek the "magic bullets" products.

You know, this is a very powerful lesson. I first noticed this when I started working in the dating niche - many people were disappointed with PUA stuff but continued to seek "the magic pill".

It was my 50th birthday this week and my wife (bless her) bought me a whole years supply of viagra *just in case*

It was just the one pill of course...but it was the thought that counts

Seriously, having come from a sales and marketing background, the WF has basically taught me everything about transferring my existing skills onto the net.

Almost all of my discoveries, breakthroughs, Aha moments, new ideas, new angles and approaches in selling my ideas online have started by reading threads on here.

    I learned that:
    1) People have overblown views on their own skills
    2) People love giving themselves the title of Internet Marketer, and thinking that actually means something, and think they're an expert. (how many self-taught lawyers do you know?)
    3) 90% of the products in WSO forum are junk, offering little to buyers (something I do the opposite of)
    4) Most people aren't making any money (ie, significantly less than what a low-paying job would pay)
    5) More than half of those who claim they make money, are making nothing
    6) People exaggerate non-stop in everything

    That's what I've learned.

I have learned that using wide paint brushes usually splashes paint on unintended targets... :p

And most people who make such wide-reaching claims always consider themselves to be part of the exceptional minority...

I've learned how annoying 97.63% of all false percentage claims on here have no basis in fact, real statistics or reality are.

Apart from that I've discovered how much opportunity there is online. I've learned that there really are some helpful, intelligent and sensible people who hang out here and that there are more new ideas and concepts emerging every day than I could possibly use.

Sharing of thoughts makes us realize that, that is the true essence of knowledge. If we learnt something from our research, shared link from friends, mentioned tweet on twitter, etc. We should share it to others too.. learn, live with it, and share the knowledge.

And I think you have that statistic wrong, I heard that 90% of statistics are made up on the spot.

I have learnt many things in the Warrior Forum, too numerous to list, but here's a few of the main ones that come to mind.

      1) The importance of building a list.
      2) The importance of focus and taking action on new-found knowledge straight away, instead of trying to 'learn everything' and then start.

"Continuous improvement is better than delayed perfection." - Mark Twain

      3) The benefits of outsourcing (!) and not feeling like I need to do everything myself.
      4) The value of a forum community and being able to learn and share with other people interested in the same things as me.
      5) Learnt about all the amazing software we can use as internet marketers.

        Gosh, where to start?

I've seen the best and worst of humanity here and I've learned a little bit or quite a bit about all the aspects of IM, but the nearest thing to my heart is that I've learned that friendships can be forged here.

Not just online, but friendships that carry over to the offline world, friendships that last a lifetime.
