How Quickly Are You Growing Your Lists?

Hi,

Just interested in seeing who has marketing lists, and how many new opt ins you get each day / week / month.

I am just in the process of setting up a few opt in forms as I haven't done so yet.

Also, when it comes to promoting a product through your mailings, what kind of percentage are you seeing with regards to sales? Is 1% a realistic figure? or is it generally more?

I've gotten easily over 4% before but it is harder in certain niches. It also depends how much value you give them before going in for the sale. There are tons of variables!

i've got a new lists, actually two, that i've set up -- one has some subscribers, less than 25 right now, and the other has none, but i'm learning what works and what doesn't from it.

i have created one campaign of article marketing designed to discuss the value of the subscription list, and one that discusses the services the subscription is founded in. so far, i have one that is working, and one that is obviously not. (going to play w/ the approach again)

Good point, but the thing is that sometimes a tiny list of few hundred action takers or buyers can outperform a gigantic list of few thousand prospects or freebie seekers.

I have 3 lists of tiny proportions and I have to say one of them I've completley neglected.

But I'm on it now, I've only been IM a year and already I know I don't want to rely 100% on the SE and article marketing to make money, so I've belatedly realised that I have to start moving on this list building stratergy.

I'm on it now and currently, I'm running Friday as auto-responder day i.e. I put up squeeze pages, tweak squeeze pages, add content to my AR and write free reports to give away to my lists.

One thing I've decided to test out is to have the same optin form on a stand alone squeeze page and another one on the actual blog/site. That way I'm running it on two levels. Feeding the two lists into one AR.

So yeah, I'm looking for a massive increase in list numbers - but right now I'd be happy with 5-10 optins per day!
