Warrior "Social Groups" Rules/Info?

Hi.

I've been doing some searching and haven't found anything on social groups other than stumbling across them in my profile.

Are they moderated?

Is there a list of rules somewhere?

If not, does anyone have any tips, warnings, advice on them?

Thanks!
John.

    Seriously?

You obviously know more about it than you let on, since you have created one that is shown in your sig.

I just discovered it yesterday and created one. Before I start posting in it or using it, I want to know the rules. I didn't see anything about it not being allowed in sigs, so I put it in there. What's with the attitude Bill?

There is nothing wrong with having it in the sig. But many people start threads asking about stuff they already know the answer, so they can drop their link on a related thread.

It is disingenuous and frowned upon here.

I just cannot figure out why you keep beating around the bush on your other thread....

If your thread got deleted the last time you said why you were asking, then maybe you shouldn't be asking again?

        1) I edited that thread already, and it has nothing to do with this thread.

        2) It was a totally different question that was deleted, and I already re-posted it without any of the back-end info about my product, got the information I was looking for, and moved on.

        3) Can we drop this and not have what could be a useful resource thread about social groups be thrown off course?

Getting back on track, do you have any information that answers the questions on social groups?

        Thanks,
        John.

I see your edit now, so thanks for that.

As long as you did not start this thread, as a link drop for your Social Group, then I see no problem. But you have to admit that such things do look fishy.

While I don't know of any particular page that defines the rules in the Social Groups, the best way to learn the lay of the land is to look at people who have been doing something a long time.

I went to this page to find the groups that have some real track record behind them:
WarriorForum - Internet Marketing Forums - General Marketing

Then I checked threads with an active discussion.

I checked several threads, and I see no signatures in those posts.

I'd let that be my guide, unless a mod pops into this thread to advise otherwise.

Thanks for pointing to that page.

I'm planning on promoting the social group directly to my clients, which may introduce people to the warrior forum. It's become clear to me that this is the place where people who know their stuff hang out.

As the group that has been created belongs here on the Warrior Forum I don't see why it would be a problem to be pointing to his sig file in a thread anyway.
