How to structure a sales process where the vendor and the affiliates could benefit best?

Hi,

I want to structure a sales process where I can build list and make sales with affiliates, and affiliates could make sales too of course, so that both benefit best.

This is what I think now:

Opt-in page with aff. link >>> Lead magnet sent to email, and thank you and sales page with one time offer 40 % off (expiring in 3 hours or 5 days) >>> order page >>> members area

This looks OK?

How to structure a sales process where the vendor and the affiliates could benefit best in terms of making sales and building list?

    Hi

I would like to ask, what do you mean by "opt-in page with aff. link"?

Are you sending your visitors to the vendor's opt-in page through an affiliate link OR are you sending them to your opt-in page with the lead magnet (report) containing aff. links to the salespage?

However you look at it, Abdullah, there's an inherent conflict, from the affiliate's perspective, between referring potential customers to a vendor's offer and the vendor trying to opt those people in to build his list.

Serious, professional affiliates, when our time, energy, effort and skills have generated the lead, want that potential customer opted in to our list, not to the vendor's.

We have a huge, almost overwhelming number of vendors' offers to which to refer our potential customers in whatever the niche is, and typically absolutely no difficulty deciding which vendors' offers we want to recommend to our leads. Vendors who want to try to make those people their leads will, naturally, understandably and correctly, be right at the bottom of that particular list.

We have other things to promote, just like vendors do.

That's why, every single time this subject is discussed here, all the serious, successful affiliates who reply explain at great length and in great detail why we don't promote products whose vendors are trying to build THEIR lists out of OUR leads. Why on Earth would we, when we don't need to? I don't see that changing, any time soon.

I would too, but I'd do that separately: I wouldn't expect to build it from my own affiliates' leads.

Not if I wanted good, professional affiliates, anyway: I'd expect, that way, to attract only the ones who haven't thought it through (and call me a skepchick, but those aren't the affiliates I'd really want).

I don't see where it's relevant to what we're discussing, but clearly it's true.

When one is being an affiliate, one acts as an affiliate. When one is being a vendor, one acts as a vendor. The fact that a particular vendor might also be an affiliate, for other products, does not magically entitle him to build his vendor's list out of his own affiliates' leads, does it?

It's answered here, I think, Abdullah: we don't promote products whose vendors are trying to build their lists out of our leads. Why would we, when we don't need to? On ClickBank alone, there are about 15,000 active products from which we can choose. It's "market forces". What you're really saying means, from the affiliate's perspective, that you want us to send our traffic to your sales page and you want a shot - one way or another - at opting our leads in to be on your list, too, and yet you still want us to promote your product rather than that of another vendor who doesn't expect that from us.

Why not follow the example of so many vendors, as discussed in such detail in the thread linked to above, and have two versions of the sales page: one without an opt-in for "more serious affiliates" and another one with it, for affiliates who aren't trying to build their own lists (they may not bring you so many sales, but it's perhaps "something extra", from your perspective, and it's easy enough to do)?

AbdullahKaragoz: You have the right idea. You need:

    1. An exceptional product
    2. Sells for $47+
    3. Great sales page that converts
    4. Access the download by email optin after paying
    5. 100% commission to affiliates
    6. Instant payment to affiliates using PayPal or other script
    7. A 2nd exceptional product you upsell to your list. (You keep all that money)

You'll get affiliates if your product is exceptional and it converts.
