Do you blog? What was your success?

Seriously I don't think that one should be blogging unless he enjoys it and likes scribbling on new things and his updates. I never will start a blog because I feel it beats the true spirit of Internet marketing since you have to make a post almost daily, finding good content which can take up time. I rather use that time to build up my ideas and take those content pack it into my info product (ebook) and sell it in a squeeze page and have my subscribers opt in to get freebies and also other offers. Then let it run autopilot for awhile and come back after a long time enjoying and update my auto responder and check my mail. Sure beats blogging daily in my opinion. Seriously why listen to me, in fact, this is just my opinion but then I want to hear your success on blogging if you don't mind ! Anyone?

If you can create a blog that has lots of regular visitors, they'll see your products a few different times and may eventually purchase. People are a lot more likely to purchase after they've seen your ads a few times and trust your site enough to come back.

I've had a lot of success using blogs for marketing, but I also use sales pages and squeeze pages on my sites. Sure, a lot of the traffic that goes to those sales pages comes from search engine traffic - but a lot comes from my own blog too, and that traffic converts even better than targeted search engine traffic.

I cannot speak from personal experience, but the man who is coaching me is doing very well with his blog.

If you look at most professional blogs now, they are more like very sophisticated websites and much more flexible. It seems to me that the way forward is to build a targeted list and use the blog/website to produce good content and products to sell to your list.

'Blogs' are not just about articles anymore. Take a look at a few of the more upmarket ones and see what is going on. Their owners seem to be doing very well.

Johnny Optimo is right on the mark. There are definite advantages to having a blog, or even a few blogs.

But as for the time involved, the content generation, and the continual care and feeding of a blog - those are the things which prevent a lot of people from ever starting their own blog.

Which is a great thing for writers like me who enjoy getting paid for writing, and taking care of blogs for other people.

It is exactly the attitude of blogs being too much work or in some way antithetical to real internet marketing that keeps me employed.

Granted, if you were to pay me $200 a month to post to your blog every weekday, it might be a while before your blog pays for itself. Which is why it is much better to already have sales pages and squeeze pages in place to make money.

But, if you have your ducks in a row, paying somebody to run your blog for you allows you to have a blog, but still gives you the time to do all the other work you should be doing to grow your business.

Success is an endless series of falling down and getting back up again. Sometimes, you fall a little less. Sometimes, you fall a little more. Keep getting back up. Keep moving forward.

My blog is where I started, so in some sense it's got some sentimental value. And because when I started I've seen results, I doubt I'd ever leave blogging behind.

Blogging daily also helps to keep me very focused. The writing keeps the ideas flowing, and I know exactly what I am working towards everyday with each blog post I make.

Oh and also, if you have enough posts on the same topic, you could compile them into an ebook and upsell them.
