Membership site question

Hi,

Just curious about membership site.

If I establish a paid membership site, for example, which gives 5 blog templates a month to its member.

If I have run the membership site for 3 months, then it means that I have given 15 blog templates.

When a new member joins on the beginning of fourth month, should he get all 15 blog templates or just the first 5 for the his first month?

Is there any script which can be used for this?

How much do you want to pay monthly for this membership site?

All comments will be very appreciated.

I would price each months blog templates together, and come up with a new "set" every month as a separate product. New subscribers just get that months, and future months templates. If they want the archived templates from the past they have to purchase them separately, perhaps at a 30% discount. There are some great paid Wordpress membership plug-ins that handle this type of drip-drop content release. The name eludes me, but they exist.

What you could do is only have 5 up at a time, make it obvious that they're only going to be up for 30 days to download, and that ever 30 days you'll put up 5 more.

Then you can go ahead and sell the other themes on your website, or sell additional membership access to the entire archive.

You can drip content with most membership scripts.

The cost of this obviously depends on the quality of your templates!

Look at the quality of other competitors in your niche and note there pricing model and the way they sell.

WooThemes is an awesome example - they're making thousands every week!

In that case - if I joined it 5years after the website was created, does it mean I'm going to get 300 templates in once?

Membership sites vary. Some offer discounted rates on older packages to new members.

For prices, seek out similar types of sites to see what the market bears, and be unique - -maybe bundle in other content or services to set your membership apart from others out there.

There are many models for membership sites from free to over $4,000, too, so again see what works best. Maybe start small and grow your program, using only autoresponders and download links in Buy Now buttons to host links to purchases.

      Says who?

Surely it depends on the quality of the designs... if they're made by a usability expert then perhaps that is a little cheap.. if they're absolutely awful.. then that price is high. Depends on the quality of them!

Add upsells with servicing options, too, where you do installs and even add plugins, etc.

Use a membership script that drip feeds depending on how long someone has been a member. This way every new member gets the first set of templates the first month and the second the second month and so on.

This way you can have members getting templates each month, but you don't have to worry about new members getting all the templates at once.

There are several membership scripts that use this method of drip feeding content.

Was just looking at this myself earlier today for a friend and (these aren't recommendations) we're looking at the WP-Drip pluggin and Wishlist.

    Both work with Wordpress.

Of course you could just use an autoresponder to send period emails with a link to a simple webpage with download links - nothing to buy an no messing about either.
