Do You Know The Best Ways To Make Money Right Now By Writing?

I am just starting my new career as a copywriter and am in the process of finding clients to write for.

However, because I have bills to pay and need some money as quickly as possible, I am also looking into all the other ways to make money by writing.

I am already writing articles for textbroker.com and am making about $30 a day, but it does take me all day to do it. I am hoping to find something which will bring in more money, while not having to spend all day writing articles for $2 or $3 a pop.

I was looking at BlogBurner, but I have no idea of how long it takes to build up to $2,000 a month.

I have also been looking at other "paid to blog" systems, but I don't think any of my blogs are "seasoned" enough to be of interest to advertisers. I certainly don't have enough traffic to any of my blogs to catch an advertiser's interest.

My question for you is: What is the fastest way to generate the most money from writing?

I am already a little worker bee, spending a minimum of 9 hours a day writing articles. But it would be much easier to continue working that hard if there were a way to make more money at it.

Plus, leave myself enough time each day to find clients for my copywriting services.

Any and all comments, suggestions, and opinions are welcome.

Thank you,
Calvin

try different freelance websites. Build your reputation as a quality writer and eventually you can charge a bit more per article and not only that you can build a recurring client list for future projects.

Seeing that you're already a copywriter, then I can say that you
already know that copywriting is already the best way to make
    money writing.

Here's what you can do. Offer your copywriting service in the WSO
section of the forum for a huge discount or even for a portion of the
    sales.

While waiting for orders, you can continue writing for textbroker to
keep you afloat. Though you won't have to wait for long in my
    opinion.

If you can provide samples of your work in your WSO thread
and warriors see that you do write killer copy, then I don't
think it will take you a lot of time to get orders.

You can also offer your services writing Build My Rank articles for those who subscribe to that service. There is a HUGE need for these short 150 word posts.

I Can't Believe How One Simple Forum Post Change My Life?

Wow Mary, that's exactly what I was going to say..with a little bit extra thrown in.

You could also place a classified ad in the Warriors For Hire Section as well. "I'll write 3 Cash Dumping - Eyeball Jerking - Headlines for you sales page, email, or Ads". Well you get the ideal.

Another thing that I would do is to create some copywriting templates based off of some already known to be successfully converting webcopy. Then I would place a gig on Fivver.com.

The templates will help you with the speed of getting any gigs completed, because you can just plug your clients needs right into a quick template and make some tweaks to taylor it. And Bingo Bango you are done.

Those Fiver gigs can add up. Also, since these are templates that you create you can sell them either as an up sell on Fivver.com or maybe as a WSO.

Of course I'm not telling you to blatantly copy someone else's work word for word. Just format. It would be like taking a collection of Robert Collier Letters or 100 of the Best Selling Headlines and creating templates out of them.

Good Luck Calvin and way to go.

P.S. I all most forgot. You might want to think of using your new talents to create Video Sales Letters as well. (You already know that this is what is currently Moving Products and Services Online.) You can charge a bit more for these and they are not that hard to do.

You could write PLR article packs and sell them here on the Warrior Forum. You'd be selling them for less than "$2-3 a pop" but you can sell them in a pack of 10 or 20 and sell multiple copies of them which would likely increase the $$ that you're making at textbrokers, for the same amount of work you're already doing.

For example, a 10 pack of niche articles for $10. Sounds crappy, but if you sold 50 packs (copies/licenses) of the same articles, that's a total of $500 for writing those 10 articles (essentially making $50 per article)

Calvin, both your original post and some of the replies so far seem rather confused, confusing and contradictory

You do realise that "copywriting" and "content-writing" are two entirely different things, careers and income sources? I ask because most of your post relates to articles/blogs and so on, which have nothing to do with "copywriting" at all. This "sticky" post from the Copywriting Forum here explains the difference.

Talk to 100 different people, and you'll get 100 different answers to this one.

I prefer to write for residuals, however, it would be irresponsible of me (or anyone) to recommend any one course of action without detailing pros- and cons-.

Writing for residuals, I admit, had a very steep learning curve. I had to learn how to best rank my content--this is difficult when it seems like even the longest tail keywords are cornered by thousands of other people and pieces of content attempting to gain visibility.

There are so many "it depends" involved, as well as an element of luck. Someone could write 500 broad articles about a topic, while another could smash the ball out of the park with 5 very specific, well-written, and honed articles.

For example: A friend of mine rarely writes as much as he use to. He'll openly admit that he's lazy. His writing has subsided to literally no more than 1 or 2 articles A MONTH. Even still, months/years back, he wrote a handful of articles that are making him a killing writing for residuals. He earns roughly $70-$80/DAY now, strictly from Adsense, on that content that was posted months and years ago.

Writing for residuals can be VERY profitable, however, 99.9% of people don't have the time or energy to figure it out or dealing with the frustration of submitting content that never gets seen.

Sorry I have taken so long to reply, but right after I posted this thread I came down with the flu and have been out of sorts.

Thank you to everyone who has responded so far.

I have taken the advice of running a WSO. It's express purpose is to start things off with a bang. I hope it gets some notice.

You are encouraged to check it out and let me know what you think:

@Alexa Smith - Thank you for keeping an eye out for me. I do know the difference between different types of writing. I am a Copywriter, writing sales copy and sales letters and such. However, I am also willing to do other types of writing in order to pay the bills. Sort of like prostituting myself with a keyboard. At least that is what it feels like sometimes.

There are various types of writing listed on my website, and I am willing to write in any way, shape, or form, if said writing is the type of writing someone is willing to pay me to do.

If anybody responding to my question focused more on one type of writing than another, I am not complaining. As long as said writing is a type of writing I can get paid to write. Right?

Again, thank you to everybody so far. Please give me some feedback on any mistakes I am making with my WSO.

Success is an endless series of falling down and getting back up again. Sometimes, you fall a little less. Sometimes, you fall a little more. Keep getting back up. Keep moving forward.

Yes don't underestimate fiverr as a way to build a reputation...and of course, dare I say it, there are other micro job sites where you can add a bit more......
Good luck! I'm sure your willingness to take massive action will really pay off.

DemandStudios pays $15 on average for a 400 word article (most are how-to and the titles are commonly gibberish)

I also write for WiseGEEK. They pay $11-$14 for 400 word articles, but it will take a week or two to get in (they have a long test period).

You can usually do 2-3 articles an hour, leading to $22-$45 per hour, depending on how quickly you write and what articles you pick up. While this isn't as good as having your own clients, it definitely pays the bills.

    Hey Calvin,

I ran a successful article writing service here on the WF and charged pretty high prices compared to the average article writer. I probably made $45/day on average but I had very high-quality, non-fickle customers because I charged so much and they knew they were getting some seriously well-researched, well written content.

If you put up a thread, offer some review copies and once people are really digging your service, raise your rates! You can always close and reopen your service on an as-needed basis and simply paste the link into your sig and make some posts around the forum when you need business.

Hope that helps and good luck!
