Newbie need a quick word of advice

Hi all out there,

got a new domain: goldbuyorsell.com

Did some keyword research (keyword phrase: gold buy or sell) and got following stats from google:
Global Monthly Searches: 90,500
Local Monthly Searches: 60,500
Approximate CPC: 6.19 €

I think about setting an automated wp blog,putting in some chart-tickers (Gold, Silver, etc) writing some unique articles and monetize with adsense.

What do you think?

      sounds good - but instead of the automated blog might consider just blogging manually and really engage your visitors.

    You've made the classic beginners mistake of looking at the broad match results from Google Adwords Keyword Tool (GAKT).

    You need to look at the "exact match" results. In your case:

    gold buy or sell
    110 GMS
    36 LMS

    That's a massive difference!

    Regardless of the search figures, what do you mean by "automated wp blog"?

      Ah ok, the beginners trap .

      No Problem, the more mistakes i do the more i'll learn for the next time / future.

      with automatization i mean to getting content from different sources.

    The other factor to consider is that the gold/silver/bullion market is extremely competitive (just look at how high the CPC's are).

    You are going to need a lot of off-page SEO work to get your site to rank.

    Besides this keyword is very competitive .........

    first three results are PR7 PR6 PR4 (this is not exact phrase search with "keyword")

    You should not be competing these sites for only 110 searches

      I see, thats my first lesson i learned . I don't see things negative when i'm unsuccessful with my first steps, quite to the contrary, it's kind of learning and it's a good learning method.

    worldofwarcraftdungeons.com

    Keyword/Phrase: world of warcraft dungeons
    Exact Matches: 720
    Approximate CPC: 0.86 €

    its looking much better or am i wrong?

    I have always been curious about this. I have numerous blogs with .wordpress because I'm never been 100% in love with any domain name I've come up with. Is a domain name really that important? Doesn't google pull more from site content then domain keywords?

      i'm trying different ways. I have some blogs where the domain not matching the content. Now i'll figure out if a keyword / searchphrase related domain will getting more clicks and traffics on adsense. Thats why i'm trying all these. I just want to learn for myself.
