Hello, I was wondering your opinion on blogging and then pinging the blog after each post. I currently run a wordpress blog and already use the wordpress auto update service to update sites like: Pingomatic.com, blogpeople.com, bulkfeeds.net, ping.myblog.jp, ping.bitacoras.com, ping.bloggers.jp etc, etc.. Should I also be using an external ping service to manually ping a site like A tool to check the pagerank of any web site online and to display the web site's pagerank on its pages. UP8 and Feed Ping Free Website and Blog Multiple Submission Service ? |

As long as you're not pinging the blog post more than once quite often, you should ping as many services as possible. Pingler.com has a big list of other ping sites also. Hope This Helps!! TL |

You can also use the free MaxBlogPress Ping Optimizer plugin to limit the amount of pinging your blog does: MaxBlogPress Ping Optimizer I would then use something like RSSBot to submit your RSS feed to all the RSS directories as well. Tim |
