What Does Making a Mobile Website Mean?

I have a blog site and have installed the WPTouch plugin. What's the difference using something like that versus setting up a subdomain with m.domain.com?

When is WPTouch not enough?

What has to be done differently when setting up an m.domain.com page. Do you make a new "template" page just for posts intended to go to the mobile site?

Thanks in advance.

WP Touch is not enough when it is not a Wordpress site. Simple as that. Any other site will need a custom html mobile site.

But I don't see that wptouch allows a person to decide which pages are available to be seen on mobile and which ones must be viewed through a computer screen. Some posts I'm wanting to make just for mobile so that I can inspire people to start using their mobile devices to review content on the site, like when they're out to lunch or something. How does one do that if wptouch is enough since I'm using WordPress?

wptouch doesn't do that. You install it and your entire blog, all of the posts will be available on a mobile phone. If you just want some pages available, you'll have to build an html mobile site with just those pages and remove wptouch

I think WillR's new WP mobile plugin will allow you to decide which pages have a mobile version to redirect to. That's what i got from watching the video anyway, I might be mistaken on that, but it seemed that way when I was watching it.

It goes along with his WSO about setting up mobile sites.
