Why would Google do such a horrible thing?

Ok so this post is not directly tied to IM but I am just venting here because this one of my favorite forums.

Have you noticed that when you do a search on Google, the results page no longer shows the 'cache' link? Instead, you get this stupid hover over preview feature which wastes a full 1-2 second per link! Not only are we no longer able to access useful cached content from sites like geocities but we can no longer see our search terms highlighted instantly as we could on the cached page!

Anyone else annoyed by this? Is there a way to turn off the preview feature and get the cached link back?

    You can still get the cached version.. it's right above the image preview on all of my searches..

      Ok...I see it...so now I have to hover over the image preview, which takes a couple of seconds for each link, in order to get the cached version. That's still very annoying.

    My search results are still showed the Cached option. Either you're browser settings are different or I'm the only person left with this option.
