Advertisement Placement

I have never had advertising on my Photo Restoration website but now I am going to start.
My question is if I sign up with an affiliate do I place their ad where I want, I mean on a page I think is relavent to their product or should I place it on the index page? So I guess what I mean is can I have different ads on different pages or should the ads be the same for every page?

as you can tell I am very new to website advertising.

    You can place them where you want but best results go with matching content with the right product.

    Usually banners will go at the header, side bar and in content for placement.

    Dont just plaster adverts all over the site as this will look tacky and more than likely become an eye sore to your website.

    If you have alot of traffic then instead of using affiliate products opt to sell advertising space on your site.
