My Goal: $2,000 A Month

from pure advertisements... Not trying to get rich, well eventually I am but this is feasible for now... how much do you make a month from your site?

    To make $2,000 a month, you need something that people need and/or want. Be it a service, a product... Some good ones to get into are outsourced services like web design, copywriting, etc.

    Make $500 a month....then with that money use it to record and start testign and increase conversions.

    Once your conversions can no longer increase, upscale and outsouce all your work.

    I would rather be a general in the army than a soldier in the trenches so to speak.

    so learn what things are makign you money, and hire other people to do them.

    Then that gives you time to spend more energy on your business not in your business.

    $2000 a month isn't likely to happen from one website unless you really hit on something. Don't get me wrong - it's entirely possible but your hedging your bets quite a bit and probably making the whole process longer and harder than it needs to be.

    Build multiple sites AND multiple revenue streams - provide services, interact with people and do advertising/affiliate sales. $2000 a month will happen quicker than you think

    $2,000 for one website from just advertisements is very hard to do. It is possible but you really need a well established, solid, and popular website or blog to make that much. So to aim for a smaller goal or even divide up your total amount of websites to make this easier, would be more reasonable.

    Now if you add other sources of income like affiliates and cpa then you can make more than your $2,000 a month from maybe 1 or 2 websites.

    I have been blogging since 2005 and started out with just earnings from Adsense alone and the amounts were small. Now I have multiple blogs/websites and have learned a lot about marketing so profits are much higher. I can tell you that if you create the right type of websites, you can definitely make a lot of money from your advertisements.

    Don't give up, set your goals at a reasonable amount, and keep working hard until you reach those goals. Good luck!

    If you want to make it to $2000 a month from ads alone I highly encourage you to utilize the efforts of other people to help you build large amounts of content. Look into building a community with forum and provide incentives for users to give your their best content (like sweepstakes but look into legalities here).

    For the above posters: As long as you are making >$0 per month you are succeeding in IM and doing a lot better than a lot of (most?) other people here on the forum.

    Once you make a little bit just keep persisting with what you are doing and you will easily be able to snowball it to $2 per month.

    Usually once you hit $2K per month with one website you can be snowballing so fast that once you hit $2K in a month it is usualy hundreds of dollars more than that.

    As for building it through advertisements, as Jessica said, utilize the efforts of other people to help you to this goal quicker.

    Throw out a few free (but good quality) WSOs to attract subscribers and leverage the powers of many.

    My goal is similar to yours- I'm wanting to get to $2K - $3K a month. Your goal is achievable. I'm at around $300-$500 a month right now.
    I would recommend multiple income streams and providing services that people need to grow their business. Don't give up!
