Warriors, can we create a thread that is dedicated to Internet Marketing Terms and their definitions in your own words. For example:

Newbie-term used to describe a Internet Marketer with minimal experience

I'm sure there are many warriors who could benefit from this. There are so many terms that are used ONLY in the Internet Marketing world such as SEO, CPA, WSO, Backlink, Offline Marketing, Product Creation, Hosting, Domain, etc. Pick one of these or come up with your own, define it in your own words, and contribute to the Warrior community.

      SEO - Search engine optimization. The act of employing various techniques in the hopes of obtaining a higher ranking for your website within the search engine results pages.

      CPA - Cost Per Action is a form of advertising payment when an advertiser would pay x amount for either a sale or completed submitted form, member sign up etc

      WSO - Warrior Special Offer Forum

      Backlink - A link from another website, forum, blog etc back to your own website, blog etc.

      Offline Marketing - the opposite of online marketing - LOL

      Product Creation - Creating a digital product, service or software that fills a need. e.g. Creating a series of training videos or written training manual about a specific task with the intention to make available for sale.

      Hosting - Server space provided by companies that allow your website to be visible on the internet. Your buying a small piece of online real estate where you plan on setting up shop (website)

      Domain - is your website

    thanks jrocc, @mywebwork .. i was hoping to fill this thread up with terms/definitions instead of sending people to another site, but it looks like we're not going to get too many contributors .. thanks though.

    Newbie: anyone, no matter how much marketing experience, that comes to the Warrior Forum and has a post count less than 20. David Ogilvy could come here and if his post count were 5 someone would call him a newbie.
