Default eZine Advertising, do they tend to convert?

I was just taking a look at various eZine Advertising companies that say they will send your "email ad" to their lists of hundreds of thousands yadda yadda

Just wondering if anyone has any experience with those form of advertising, did it convert and generate you a lot of leads or sales?

It seems like it's a relatively inexpensive service compared to just regular PPC for impressions, however I don't know how targeted the traffic would be either!

Any thoughts?

You're too vague ... Ezine advertising means solo ads, top sponsor ads, classified ads ... They are different and they have different purposes => Ezine Advertising Blog Archive Are Solo Ads Really Better than Ezine Classified Ads?

As for the targeted traffic ... it depends (BTW, targeted on WHAT?)

If you advertise with GPTR companies disguised in ezines (like Solo Ads Ezine), then what you get is definitely untargeted traffic. Why? Because the people click on your link to get credits, not because they read your ad and are interested by what you offer.

If you advertise in a real ezine, then the traffic that will come to your website will be targeted on your topic unless your ezine ad is not misleading.

As for the amount of traffic that will be generated ... it depends on your ad copy, on what you promote, on how close is the topic of that ezine and the topic of your website, etc. => Ezine Advertising Blog Archive Does Ezine Advertising Work?

Wow! Well done on creating a fantastic, very thorough product!"

From the same Solo Ads Series...

If you are gonna spend money on traffic I would do
PPC or other non-email methods personally. Build
your own email list and sell to that list.
