I want to work hard but don't know how

Hello Warriorforum,

For quite some time now I've been wanting to start up a succesful internet business. I'm not lazy and really want to work hard for it but the problem is, I don't know how. I've been looking for a viable strategy for quite some time now, but can't seem to find one.

At first I looked in the "Main Discussion" section but because of all the threads started here, I wasn't able to find a solid strategy. After that I went to the WSO section to look for one. Thing is, all the WSO's I'm looking at claim that they'll get me results super fast and will bring in the money on autopilot for the rest of my life. The thing is, I just don't believe it. If it's so easy, then why doesn't everyone succeed at IM?

So, could anybody help me find a solid strategy for me to implement? I understand even a solid strategy isn't a guarantee for succes, but I do think it'll help.

Thanks in advance,
Baort

I really appreciate your enthusiasm towards Internet Business Start up.Your assumption is 100% true.We can't be successful overnight. The very first thing is you should be aware of the 'pros' and 'cons' in Internet Marketing.Financial backup is mandatory while working full time.If you can cope up those things then try to analyze your skills. If you are good at writing you can go for Blogging or content writing services. If you are good at Public Relations you have more chances to be successful in Affiliate marketing. If you are proficient in Programming and designing you can have couple of projects(Web designing and developing static or dynamic sites) in your hand.So try to take good decision after self analysis. All the very best for your future.

You are looking at the wrong WSO's.

Forget the "canned" strategies for a minute.

      You are over complicating things.

The strategies are all over this forum.

What you sound like you are looking for is a completed business plan.

Unfortunately, your business plan is going to be specific to your business - so I don't think you will find that.

So here are the 2 main steps.

      1. Find a hungry niche

      2. Sell them what they want.

Have you figured out step 1? Because once that is figured out there will be very specific things your strategy will include. You can pretty much follow a blueprint at that point of how others have monetized that particular niche.

I think there are THREE main steps, not two:
        Find your niche
BUILD YOUR LIST (of people interested in your niche)
Sell related products to your list

Crucial not to miss out step 2!

I think the quote below was one of the reasons why I wasn't impressed with that "blueprint" thread. It isn't a newbie blue print at all.

Step one there was "find a niche", which is supposed to take all of 5 mins (yea, right!) Finding a niche is one of the hardest parts for a newbie - if not THE hardest part. I've been doing IM for around 4 or 5 years. I know now what my niches are and are likely to be. It took me a long time to learn what I personally am interested in and good at.

Stop worrying about finding a niche and start by learning how to run a website. If you've never done that before start by heading over to blogspot. It's not a long term strategy but you can set up a blog there on any subject whilst you research what products are available and work out whether it is a subject that interests you enough for you to write about it.

To start of with just set up a blog on anything that comes into your head. You'll soon start to learn what are/aren't good idea or niches. But you won't learn if you don't start somewhere.

Clickbank is a place a lot of people start. Most of the stuff there is overhyped and in spammy niches. That doesn't matter to start with. Just start! That's what I did.

When you find something that interests you then you can look at buying a domain name and hosting and setting up your own site.

You'll learn as you go. There's all the advice and info you need here in this forum, but without a starter site to try things out on, most of it will be meaningless.

In a way IM is like any other business, you have to pick your business model. What value are you offering your customers in exchange for financial return ($$)? Are you selling a product (e-books) or service (design/writing)? Are selling other's products or services (affiliate marketing)? Are offering memberships?
Then find one strategy that fits and stick with it. For the past year, I've jumped from one idea to the next looking for the "easy button". Now that I've picked one model and figured out the process, things are coming together quickly.
You're right to stay away from the ones promising easy money and result. Find a program that actually looks like work, because it is.

    Hi Baort!

If you can't find your niche in internet marketing then I think you won't succeed in it. Because IM starts in finding your niche, if you can't find one then there's no chance for you to start IM.

I understand your situation as I've also encountered confusions in selecting my niche but as time goes by I gained a lot of knowledge on different niches and I've build up my confidence to start my own web service. Work harder and learn everyday. Those are my tips..

      Baort -

You know more than the average newbie already - you've figured out a "get fast money for doing nothing much" is probably not the place to start.

      http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...blueprint.html

The link above is only ONE of many good methods posted in threads here. You can't just run down this list - you need to learn each step. That's where you start.

Niches are all around you - big and small. Every thing you buy, everything you use....is part of a niche. Start out by learning "how to find a niche", "how to identify a good niche" by using search function on this forum and google search, too. You will notice most new marketers choose one of a few "big name" niches - find a niche or two of your own.

A niche doesn't have to be something you are passionate about - but it should an area you have some interest in learning about. Learn to research the competition in the niche and the $$ potential of the niche.

Learn each step of the method above as you go - get the TOOLS you need as you need them....and avoid jumping from one thing to another.

Newbies always say they want a plan or a blueprint but then they quit because they want to skip steps or do one or two things and collect the money. Follow the entire process step by step and it will work. The link above is one of many "plans" or "step by step" on this forum. They work but don't get the attention buzz of "easy bucks if you buy this" that WSOs often do.

Dig in - keep going - focus - you'll do well.

    Hi

Good Question, and as you said if WSO products can get "Massive Profits then why People Struggle today".

Its some thing like this, When you sow a Seed You cannot expect the Seed to become Tree and bare fruits within 24 hrs. The same way IM Works, you Sow The SEED of your NICHE, then as you do to protect your plant by watering , feed with fertilizers and pests you the same you need to feed your niche with articles, in forums, classifieds, directories, create blog and publish etc., etc.,

I was working hard, hard,, hard,,, now I know the smart move its in AUTO PILOT but yes it takes times and you need to be focused.

If you have spare $37, I would encourage you to get access to the private war room where many warriors share the different systems that they have used to make money online.

There are many different systems that you can use to make money online but you will want to make sure that you stay FOCUS on following one system at a time. You will need to be patient as it might take some time before you will start to see some results.

Don't fall into the trap where you will start looking for the next system thinking that it will gives you faster result.

Remember to stay FOCUS on one system at a time first

You will find that most marketers have websites and focus on building a list of buyers to sell to. Both There List and sites focus on a specific niche. For example they main have a site on Golf Tips or Weight loss. The main thing that I have learn is not to bounce around chasing two many ideas try to stick to one and make that work for you. Then expand to the next project. I have also noticed that each list can be broken down into each individual niche.

I shop at the grocery store all the time. I am not "on their list."

Not every business plan will need a list for it to work. Adsense models for example - I don't want those people on a list. I want them to click out on ads.

Find a niche that can make you a lot of money and work on your own product creation. This is what I've found works best. Create your own products, build an email list around that niche, sell your product to your list, then create an affiliate program for others to sell your product.

If you're willing to work hard like you say, then you'll have no trouble creating a business online. Build a couple of websites on different subjects (Wordpress on your own hosting is a very easy way to get started) and add content to them consistently over time. Acquire some quality backlinks (there are plenty of guides on how to do this). Google loves established sites, and taking this approach will instantly separate you from the 99% of wannabe internet marketers who aren't willing to work for anything but short-term gains.

The best thing to do (from my personal experience) is that you to build a targeted mailing list, try to get at least 100 subscribers then the rest of the work is easy, try to leverage your mailing list by doing ad swaps, or paid ad solos, or JVing with someone who has more experience than you.

    Good Luck.

I TOTALLY sympathize. You know you want to work from home and have your own business doing some kind of IM. But you have NO idea what you want to do and NO idea where to start. (And you're absolutely inundated with information!)

It's a very frustrating, difficult place to be.

        So start with this post.

(And don't buy anything until you've done what I suggest here. You're wasting your time -- and money -- if you do. Buying info on tactics is a complete waste of money until you've decided on a business model, niche and target market.)

IM is actually pretty simple: you can sell only one of two things:

        1. Products
        2. Services

        That's it!

And selling products or services online happens in the same basic way for everyone, no matter what they're selling:

        Traffic > Opt-in page > Autoresponder series (or e-zine) > Sales page

That's it! It's just that simple. (We IMers tend to overcomplicate things.)

But no matter what your niche is, or whether you're selling a product or a service, do you know what your business model is?

A business model is the framework or skeleton of your business. Essentially there are three types of online business models:

        1. Membership-based model

A membership-based business model allows you to build a community of people (your members) who are as passionate about your subject as you are. Your membership fees can be monthly or annual, but either way, you're building recurring, passive income.

There are a lot of resources and information out there to help you build a membership-based business if you're interested in doing this.

        2. Product-based model

Selling products allows you to maximize your time and effort by selling items over and over again. This can be hard goods or it can be information products. Information marketing is it's own business model under the product-based model. Information marketing allows you to take your brain to the bank by creating a product ONCE based on what you know and selling it over and over again.

I see someone has already recommended affiliate marketing. You can choose to market either products or services as an affiliate.

        3. Service-based model

Selling services can be great for 1) generating quick cash (as in the case of article writing or video producing) and 2) establishing your expertise and getting testimonials.

However, in the long run, your goal should be to offer services at a PREMIUM. The biggest advantage of IM is LEVERAGE. You're able to leverage your time, money and expertise exponentially online. We all have just 24 hours each day. Time to get ruthless about what you expect for those hours you spend in IM each day. Expect more of yourself and more from your business friends, clients, partners, etc.

What results are you getting for those hours you spend online each day? Ultimately, your services should be at the bottom of your funnel and cost the most since they involve your time and personal attention. (We all have a limited amount of time each day.)

The fun (and confusion) comes in with all of the endless mix-and-match possibilities of the above models. If you're just starting or still struggling to make money, keep it simple:

        Pick just ONE!

        1. Pick ONE niche. (Something you're interested in and know something about.)

        2. Pick ONE target market for your product or service. (Who will buy what you're offering? The more specific you are, the more you narrow it down, the more successful you'll be.)

        3. Pick ONE business model.

Now that you're clear about what business you're in, FOCUS! (And stop buying any info not related to your niche and target market, period!)

        F -- Follow
        O -- One
        C -- Course
        U -- Until
        S -- Successful

In IM, it's easy to put the cart before the horse. Take a deep breath, step back and consider what type of business you're REALLY want. Don't worry about getting traffic or buying that expensive traffic product until you know 1) what your business model is, 2) what niche you're in and 3) WHO your target market is!

Successful business people will tell you that MARKETING is more than half the effort that's needed for success anyway. So pick a niche, target market and business model. Then spend most of your time and effort marketing it.

If you DON'T have a solid plan or system, THAT'S when it's hard. A good system will shave YEARS (and save you big $$$) off of your learning curve

That's why I recommend investing in at least one good, comprehensive IM course (or mentor who will give you such a system) instead of jumping from one $37 e-book to the next. A lot of people here complain about not being able to make any money. But neither are they willing to invest in their business. (Buying a random bunch of $37 e-books doesn't count.)

The best thing I ever did was invest in a comprehensive IM course aimed at REAL business owners, not just other IM wannabes. Yes it was $1500. (Now it's only $997. :p) But it was truly some of the best A-Z IM info I ever bought. Everything else I've learned (from the $37 e-books) since has simply been plugged into this system.

Get a solid plan or system and then work the plan!

        Hope this helps!

When it comes to making money online, there isn't just one legit way to go. There are several. Some methods to bring in money faster than others. For instance, if you have skill (like writing), you could become a service provider (ghostwriter), and write for other people. There's the advantage of being paid via Paypal, but you usually have to work around other people's schedules, deal with deadlines and be highly-organized, which isn't for everyone.

The most popular way to make money online is probably as an affiliate marketer (selling other people's products in exchange for a cut of the profit on every sale made). Affiliate marketing takes on a lot of diff. forms, but doing affiliate marketing via a niche blog (focuses on a theme like weight loss, dating, gardening or something and usually contains product reviews and related info on your niche topic. Having a niche blog is a long-term business strategy that all the big guns use because of all the advantages it offers.

With a niche blog, you are able to write about things that interests you while making money at the same time. You are able to generate residual income - do work once and continue to promote from it without extra effort (often referred to as "making money while you sleep"), generate multiple income streams from the same blog (i.e. traffic from the search engines, list building, selling ad space, adsense (shouldn't be used on the same pages where you're doing affiliate marketing), can be used in forum marketing and more. They are also great for holiday promotions.

    Good luck,
    Joey

A good place to start is with your own personal interests, you can normally find a couple of good niches from that.

Then focus on 1 marketing channel to start out with and slowly start to build your own system, and adapt accordingly.

When you make money, you rinse and repeat.

    Simple...

    need to do the following

    1) Study those that are successful

    2) Start to do what they do

    3) Test and tweak!

    4) Build a list of buyers

We have done this over the years, and crushed it online. Yes it is hard work, and takes some good old fashion elbow grease but who said this stuff was easy. if it was as easy as the gurus say it is, everyone would be making money online.

Most fail due to lack of commitment, but the day to day activities is not hard, heck you can even outsouce it all if you really wanted to. But the taking action is a must. Without action, you will see no results.

Focus is the key, as others have pointed out.

Pick one "method", one traffic source, one cpa offer and make it work.

For example right now i'm working on one campaign on paid traffic source, made about 40 different creatives and now i'm in the process of split testing headline/adcopy combos, then i'll move on to split test my landing pages

that alone is A LOT of work

At first I looked in the "Main Discussion" section but because of all the threads started here, I wasn't able to find a solid strategy. After that I went to the WSO section to look for one. Thing is, all the WSO's I'm looking at claim that they'll get me results super fast and will bring in the money on autopilot for the rest of my life. The thing is, I just don't believe it. If it's so easy, then why doesn't everyone succeed at IM?

So, could anybody help me find a solid strategy for me to implement? I understand even a solid strategy isn't a guarantee for succes, but I do think it'll help.

    Hi,

    I understand how you feel!

However I think it is ironic that in my opinion and experience NO-ONE can give you an exact step by step plan.

Even if you had someone telling you EXACTLY what to do there will come a time when you need to pick your own niche, communicate with that niche and spot openings.

After all IM is simply sales, except the medium that we are using in the Internet.

If this were a sales office and we were doing telesales I could sit you down and run through a pitch that works for me.

However you would have to get on the phone and it might not work for you.

What you can do though is start on a strategy that you will find right here, see what others are doing that are successful and start learning and implementing and you will put the dots together in time.

    Good luck...

    Hi Baort,

I believe you are suffering from information overload. First of all, you would need to find a business model such as creating and selling your own product, affiliate marketing, selling services, etc for yourself. After which, based on the business model you have selected, work out a plan/strategy. Stick to it, test and tweat it till it works well.

It will definitely take a while for you to tweat it to make it successful. However, please do not give up as you are building a REAL business here and imagine yourself one year from now!

    Hope it helps...
