Paid Traffic or Traditional

I just read a thread here that mentioned his first real success was through paid traffic. I wanted to pose a question:

Is it better to learn all aspects of internet marketing, article submission, blog comments, backlinking, etc, etc. Or just go straight to paying for traffic?

If you learn which are the best types of programs to promote for paid traffic, and have a few bucks to spend, is it best just to go for the immediate cash?

50% - 100% margins in the real world is fantastic! If I'm able to promote a program that yields 100% profit margin, that's guaranteed money, why should I do anything else?

I just bought Christines book Newbie to Millionaire and was about to dive in, when I saw this other post about paid traffic.

Being a newbie myself I figured I could be missing something here, maybe paid traffic is not that simple.. Like I said, guaranteed 100% profit margin in the real world of sales would make it a no brainer.

Thanks for any feedback.

The best thing I can suggest is that you learn ONE THING AT A TIME.... Do not try and learn fifty things at once. Learn a little of something to see if you like it and then if you do, keep working at it. There is a ton of stuff I like and learned and a ton that I hate to deal with and outsource....

Yeah, I feel like I have information overload, but I'm determined to get the online business generating income asap. Currently I do face to face sales to the casinos here in Las Vegas, but I would prefer the online life style.

Time is of the essence, if I don't get the online business going quick enough, I'll be forced to devote the majority of my time back to real world sales, because I have a family to support.

So I'm going all out! However, I just want to make sure I'm spending my time wisely..
