How To Stop Spam Post From Getting On My Blog?

Lately My Blog stated posting content(posts) without me doing so. All these post are spammy for they are about home and garden, pills ect when my blog is strictly for internet marketing beginners.

I have been try to stop these posts because i think they are affecting my blog significantly.

So i started searching google for ways to stops this from happening and i am getting answers that its highly likely that these posts are being posted through my google account and i need to go there and change settings to stop it.

To be honest i have the slightest of idea as to what is causing this.

I need to get this problem solved quickly.

Could anyone please help me fix it.....

P.S.

Actually these are spam posts and not comments.
I am using wordpress.
The users that post these spam posts on my blog always appear to be authors in the user section.

Can i stop persons from registering to my blog?

This problem is getting worst , i had to delete 56 spam posts today and they just keep coming in.

Each time i delete the user or change there role from author to subs a new author usually just pop up a couple hours later.

This is starting to affect my blog really bad. I can see whereby google have pulled some of my pages from there search engine.

Even after i posted this thread on the warrior forum today and went to check back on my blog there where spam posts popping up again after i delete the previous ones.

Which blog platform are you using? You can usually change this under the settings of your blog platform.

If you use Wordpress you can set it up so you have to approve or delete all comments. That is what I do. I don't know how the other blogging sites work. I assume they have the same ability.

You may want to re-phrase your question:
Are you talking about POSTS or COMMENTS?

    If posts, you were hacked.
If comments - use a decent antispam plugin. And don't allow commenting without moderation.

P.S. Learning and using the proper terminology is the first step to learn a trade... like for example, working online with your favourite CMS

Assuming you ARE talking about "posts", and it is a WordPress blog that hasn't been updated recently, you may want to check out the "Users" section (in the dashboard menu) to see if any new admins have been added.

A while back there was a very important security update relating to this (lots of bogus admin accounts were popping up in WordPress installations due to some sort of vulnerability).

If comments - a good spam plugin should take care of it! :-)

The OP said "post" not "comment". To OP, be more detailed with your problem. If you're not detailed, we can't help you much.

Waiting for your response on this.

You can't stop them. Even though I have my comments turned off, I still get two or three per week on a couple. I have one blog I have never done anything other than load WordPress on it, and I still get comments telling me how they liked my blog. And turning off the comments is one of the first things I do when I set up my blogs. I have no idea how they can drop them when I have them turned off, but they do.

If you're getting signups that are authors, you might have been hacked. This is not the norm. I would reinstall Wordpress and if you backed up the database from before this happened, restore it. If you don't have a backup, contact your host and see if they can help. They may have a simple solution

Take a look in your settings menu. Under settings/general there is a tick box marked "membership" which says "anyone can register". Make sure there isn't a tick in this box.

One way to stop spam in Wordpress is to enable comments by registered users only. That way, spammers (and software) will not be able to see your comment box unless they have to register on your site. That will cut down spam significantly.

Most of the responses are about comments.
