Best places/ways to find affiliates for your product?

What are your best/favourite places where you look for affiliates for your product?

Affiliate directories? Contacting non-competing webmasters in a niche similar to yours? Forums?

Any suggestions?

    Yes, the curse of the Warrior Forum - most threads disappear from the first page of the main forum in like 15 minutes if they get no replies by then. Unbelieveable with most other discussion boards...

    You can advertise your product on Clickbank. Clickbank is probably the biggest marketplace where affiliates go to seek products to promote. Alternatively, Commission Junction.

    I don't think I could advertise in the Clickbank directory because I am not using CB to process the payments. Haven't checked though...

    Commission Junction? No go. Too many disadvantages IMHO and mostly for large companies anyway. At this time, I am not looking for any affiliate network of the CJ type as they would just stand between me & my affiliates and would take a hefty fee for that. Maybe a good option later, but not now.
