Default Duplicate Contents

I recently lost all my site rankings in google. The only reason I can think of is that I submitted some articles from my site to article directories. Does Google consider this as duplicate contents?

How old was your site? Google rankings are usually a bit funky for new sites. You'll see them fluctuating a bit in the first few months before settling down.

In the mean time, do some social bookmarking and a bit of directory submissions.

Is there any way I can contact google? I posted same questions on google forum but did not get a certain answer. I am really confused about this duplicate contents thing.

#1.) Chill out - your site will be fine.
#2.) Refer to SHOCKING: Is it just a ploy or not?!

It's normal for your site to rank and then disappear for a while, especially if it's relatively new.

As for duplicate content, this only applies to having the same content on your website more than once. Submitting articles that are on your blog or site is NOT duplicate content.

Everything will be ok - just have patience.
