help - questions about domain age while transfering domain to new registrar...

I just started a transfer of one of my domains from GoDaddy to Name.com

I've owned the domain for 3 years. After it's transferred will it become a "new" domain of will It still be a 3 year old domain? I don't know how registrars view domains that are transferred but not dropped.

I have a few days to cancel the transfer if it's going to goof up my domain age.

Any info appreciated!

    Hi

A domain's age is calculated from the "created" date. This is shown with the WHOIS information. Transferring or selling the domain does not change the "created" date or age.

I would not worry about it at all. When you sell the domian or the site all that info will go with it.
