Editing an Existing Youtube Video

I appreciate the forum and all it's help.

I have hundreds of videos on YouTube, but the call to action is written in annotations. The world is moving the way if the ipad and Smart phones. It seems me - that all of these devices have annotations turned off by default. So that means my annotations (Call to action) are almost never seen by most of these viewers.

Could there be a way to edit them and keep the same URL and views?

I am guessing the only thing I can do is download them, delete my channel, reedit them with camtasia or a similar (suggestions for easier programs are appreciated) and then upload them to a newly created channel with the CTA as part of the video itself.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
