My current plan for IM

I have somehow plan out what I am going to do for now.

I have just created a blog and the content that I have written are taught by Chris Farrell as I am his affiliate.

I will be doing keyword research and will update my blog consistently.

For traffic generation wise,I will be posting in forums first and after that I will try to do article marketing.

I try not to do so much things at one go to prevent confusion and lose focus.

Do give me advice if you think there is a better way or it is not enough

Make sure to build a list while you're at it... That will be your most prized asset in years to come.

good advice...i second that. not only could it be your most prized asset but who knows.....it might be your only asset.

remember that for any marketing plan out there....SEO, adwords, etc etc etc etc....that you are relying a lot on others for your income and livelyhood. however with an email list you own that and no one can take it from you.

Is there any source of information like an e-book on building lists that you know of that's really good and could recommend? In the meanwhile i will search the forums, thanks.

Plans are good, but starting out, action is more important - its better to launch and figure it out as you go then to try and plan it to perfection before hand (because that can't be done and it never substitutes for experience).

I'm not familiar with Chris Farell's program. These are some general pointers that apply to content style sites and blogs in particular. They may also have other applications, but as with many I stick to one approach, specialize in it, make it my own, and continue to refine it (this began with a single domain... I have 6 right now, in different niches, and I still apply the same fundamentals to all of them):

    - you only need one keyword to launch your site. You can uncover/research others later.

    - content should be 100% unique. It doesn't matter how you arrive there: you can write it yourself, outsource it, or look to PLR for inspiration. You can even spin a PLR article and then do a manual revision for quality and to ensure uniqueness.

    - its not as important how often you often you post as it is how consistently you post. Its easy to start strong with a daily posting schedule and then run out of steam at some point, leading to increasingly less frequent posts. That's because your readers will interpret that as loss of interest and they'll lose interest as well. Better to implement a posting schedule you can stick to over the long haul.

    - Forums and article marketing are both fine for additional traffic and backlinks. As it requires minimal effort to re-submit stuff you've already posted to a few hand picked article directories, its worth that little bit of effort required. Make sure forums allow signature links or you're wasting your time there. Pay attention to which forums are providing traffic and concentrate your efforts there. Establish your value as a forum member before you introduce your signature links.

    - focus on one method only. That method may have many elements to learn, but if it looks promising, don't drop it just because its not paying any big payoff after 6 days, 6 weeks, or even 6 months. If you believe its sound stick to it, and continue to work to improve and perfect it. Sometimes it takes a 'eureka' moment before you realize the thing you're not doing or need to do differently for it to hit the big payday. The eureka moment never comes if you jump around from method to method; it comes from focusing on one method and making it your own.

Just keep searching the forums, you get some great information here.

Look at some of the WSO's but do not buy everything that you see, there is not enough time in the day to read all of the information - I have a computer full of things I have not read

Buy one thing at a time that you think will be of value and implement the system that is taught - one of them will resonate with you and you will begin to make some money

IM is hard work in the beginning, but once you find a system that works for you the only ard part becomes what to sell LOL
