Bad words in internet marketing

Here are some bad words that I recommend never using when trying to sell ANYTHING to internet marketers.

These are words that over the months and years have been associated with the word 'crap' haha

Don't ever try to market:

ebooks
PLR
webinars
teleseminars

You can still sell these things, but call them something different, for example, call a webinar 'free training' and call an ebook a 'step by step guide'

Anyways, I'm through with my rant, have a nice day

      Too true!

People mistakenly throw around these words, though I think many now use "report" in place of "ebook".

None of those words turn me off at all. I buy ebooks, I buy a ton of PLR. The other two I don't buy. Just have no interest in them but it doesn't mean they're crap.

When I'm looking for fresh PLR, I type in plr in search function of the WF, so it's definitely not a bad word to me.

      That.

One man's trash is another man's treasure, to reword what's already been said. Maybe it has to do with our experiences with those "bad words." Or maybe we see what others have told us to believe about them.

It's not enough to want it... you have to want it enough.

Different strokes for different folks. What you love, someone hates. And vice versa. And we're talking about global market here, different knowledge, perception, values... huge market.

People make good money selling to the rich. But the rich got rich selling to the masses.

Webinars and some ebooks don't turn me off neither...
So I guess it's about who is marketing them(the person) and not so much on words...
You had no luck with them and people unsuscribed from you?
Don't think this way , thnik more about the quality of you stuff and not so much about the apperance because when you got good stuff you can't make it look bad.

I've been preaching bad words for some time now, especially the webinar bit. I never invite people to a "webinar". However, I disagree with the PLR part. If you are marketing to marketers, then PLR might just be what they are looking for.

All these are just like money: they are useful or harmful only when they are in the right/wrong hands. Unfortunately there are shenanigans and irresponsible practitioners which spoiled the apple cart.

For example, I give webinars and still listen to webinars. If I learn just ONE actionable new thing from an hour-long webinar, it would be worth the time spent. Similarly with the other venues.

Stick with those who provide real values.

I would love for someone to tell Tiffany Dow that using the word "PLR" means your product is crap.

Affiliate Marketing is a bad word... for those who didn't succeed at it.

SEO is a bad word... for those who don't understand how it really works.

What is next? Someone going to tell me that keyword stuffing is dead?!

You're going to fail. If you're afraid of failure then you do not belong in the Internet Marketing Business. Period.

Maybe those words aren't the "flashiest, smoothest" descriptors in a marketing sense, but they are accurate words. Every single one of them is the word that I would use if I were to search for that product.

Being an internet marketer i have bought hundreds of "ebooks" and "PLR" packages. Personally i don't give a s#@t what they call it, as long as the product is solid. How do you expect to sell anything?? How else do you describe PLR without using that phrase??

I don't agree... because still these things are selling like crazy stuff. Renaming can help you achieve a bit high sales, but ultimately value matters. Trying to sell crappy stuff can damage your reputation, and you'll be out of market quickly.
