Calling everybody who has sold IM products on Clickbank

To anybody who has sold an IM product on Clickbank, would you mind disclosing the approximate conversion rates you have obtained?

Just respond with whatever is on your mind as well as a range (eg, 2-3%) that you've personally experienced as a Vendor, or that you have as an affiliate of another product. Or your experiences overall in general.

Thanks in advance!

      Hey buddy,

      Thanks, that is exactly what I'm looking for to get an overall sense of conversions from WFers in the space.

      Any others?

    The fact that a product is on clickbank does not determine the conversion rate. Many factors do and the biggest is the copy. So, even if someone gives you a number it will be irrelevant.

    I can confirm a conversion rate of around 2-5%.

    For me it has never been higher, especially in these though days.

    Thanks to @Ti I was actually curious about this as well, as I'm putting my WSO on CB and kind of hoping that a lot of affiliates do the work for me.

    What can I expect in the way of affiliate sales for an MMO product on CB?

      When you say MMO do you mean MMORPG?

        MMO = "Make Money Online"

        MMORPG = "Massive Multi-player Online Role-Play Games".

        Different "MMO".

          MMO also = "Massive Multiplayer Online" which is actually an extremely strong and profitable niche of Internet Marketing (mega million dollar Clickbank niche).

          MMORPG = One type of MMO, adding the "Roleplaying Game"

          The Internet is full of terminologies

          Knowing others conversion rates means nothing.
          I have no problem with people thinking that. After all, less successful competition means more room for those who truly understand why conversion rates in others are important to profit.

          If you Google MMO it leads to "massively multiplayer online" hence the confusion.

            Exactly right. Also I know quite a few Warriors who post here frequently who actually have MMO/MMORPG affiliate/vendor websites.

    I have actually promoted some (a long time ago), with absolutely no success at all, and it's a niche I'm now unwilling to promote, Ti.

    For many reasons, actually. But the most compelling ones (to me) are ...

    (i) A proportion of the products' potential customers are themselves already ClickBank affiliates, and I'm not so naive as to imagine that those people are going to buy it through my affiliate-link rather than through their own (why would they?) ...

    (ii) They tend to have leaky sales pages, and for all the reasons given in all the threads like this one, at such length and in such detail, by so many professional ClickBank affiliates, few serious affiliates are going to be willing to promote products with a vendor's opt-in on their sales pages ...

    (iii) They tend also, pretty often, to have very badly written, deceptive, excessively hype-fuelled sales pages of the type commonly produced by "people pretending to be copywriters" (i.e. not much has been split-tested, and you can tell that from what they're using - a lot of stuff which is only ever used by people who haven't split-tested and aren't aware of the results of any people who have, in my opinion) ...

    (iv) They tend to make income claims with which I wouldn't be willing to be associated, anyway ...

    I wish you very good luck with them, if you try them, but for me as an affiliate they compare, collectively, very unfavourably indeed with the products of 100+ other niches.

    I see your point, of course, but I don't quite agree with this: I do find ClickBank's "no questions asked" 60-day guarantee very helpful indeed. If you go about it appropriately in the pre-selling process, you can increase sales significantly by promoting that, without actually increasing refunds at all.

    Knowing others conversion rates means nothing. Your goal should be to make as much money and with as high of a conversion rate as possible. Your list and who makes up your list if you do email marketing is going to play a huge factor in your conversion rates.

    This is true but it certainly impacts the REFUND RATE.

    We were taking sales for an IM product directly via PayPal with only a 6% refund rate.

    When we moved to clickbank.com (nothing else changed other than the payment processor) the refund rate increased to 17-23% depending on traffic source. The target market in this industry knows all about CB's relaxed refund policy & process & many take advantage of it simply because they can. I'm sure many people reading this have done it many times themselves.

    In comparison, all our other products on CB in the non-im niche see refund rates around 2-3% on CB which is pretty standard regardless of the payment processor used.

    Something to consider.
