Applying opt in box's

As I'm fairly new to the world of IM I realise it's a good idea to build up a good database of customers. The term opt-in seems to be mentioned alot, how do you apply one to a blog and where are they found, I realise I may be asking to blunt of a question but it's a valid one at that.
Cheers guys

You create the form using your autoresponder service.

If you have already chosen an autoresponder we can help you better if you tell us which one you use.

    Hi,

The most popular optin form is aweber.com and it's about 20/mo but there is also a free version called mailchimp.com

It's basically a way to build your database of buyers, leads etc. The best way is to give something away in exchange for their email address. You can write a report, give away plr or an email course. Adding them to your website is easy too. Each one comes with code that you place in your site. I recommend wordpress if you haven't already setup your website.

    I hope that helps.
