Anyone has run 40 WPRobot sites on one single baby hostgator hosting?

Can the hosting handle all 40 wprobot sites running?

    I haven't on hostgator but I ran 10 at once on a different hosts and had all kinds of problems. wprobot sucks... not just because it's so resource intensive but because it's the biggest freaking autoblog footprint on the web. If you want to be a successful autoblogger, look for lesser known, small footprints and lightweight programs.

    wprobot is the only autoblog system that just never brought any visitors to my sites. but.. it's been a couple years so maybe they've improved....

      I'd be interested to see some other replies on this. Previously I'd seen some great reviews here on WF about WPRobot. This recent post is making me re-think it, though, so I'd be interested in getting a wider range of experiences.

        I had WP Robot running on my 14 domains with Wordpress MU.
        This was a long time ago and they only thing that it really did for me was add content to my sites.

        That's fine if that is all you want it for. However, if you are expecting it to help your ranking; I would not depend on it.

        Thats unless they have recently changed.

        I found it relatively easy to spot a site that was using WP Robot.

        If they were easy for me to find; I don't think Google would have a problem
        telling the difference either.

        Again, that is just my experience from years ago and I don't know if they have changed.

    I had some good experience with wp-robot but my major tip with it is that you CANNOT use it out of the box as is. I have a High PR site which is now on autoblog, out of the box wp-robot just as a test and it gets literally no traffic, all it doesnt it copy posts from amazon etc add articles etc. but taht is it. Now on the other hand, Ive tweaks another autoblog in a different niche, so that the postings are customised in the blog, meaning even if they use some scrapped content they always include my own origianal bit which has helped a lot! i get a lot more traffic on this site. so frankly, i suggest making your own wp-robot templates - but using the plugin is a great place to start, just find your own way and dont expect that now you have it you will have 1000s of visitors in a couple of hours, it doesnt work quite that easy!
