Internet Marketing Degree?

Hey guys, my little brother is looking for a college or online college that offers some sort of internet marketing or direct response degree. Does anybody have any recommendations? thanks

    Here's your problem with this kind of degree. By the time you get to years 3 & 4, you can forget 80% of what you have learned in the first two years because it's no longer relevant

      As mentioned, it's not going to be worth it.

      IMers have to constantly adapt to the every changing methods that are introduced.

    No. I say - learn Internet Marketing by yourself. A degree, and colleges, only want to rob your money.
    %95 of the biggest IM super-stars today is self-learned. No degree, no mentor - just lots of try and fail... and success.

    I agree that getting an internet marketing degree wouldn't help you much in your own business due to the ever changing online world.

    BUT most corporations require degrees for you to be hired. So it depends on what your brother's goals are. If he wants to get into his own business then hands on learning at home would probably be the better route.

    If he wants to get a 9-5 doing marketing for XYZ Corp then the degree would be the better choice.

    If he's looking for an Internet Marketing degree make sure it's one with a heavy focus on marketing fundamentals and a small amount of modern skew.

    Direct response copy writing principles are timeless.

    Sales and marketing funnels are never going to die.

    Testing and tracking will remain the cornerstone of successful marketing practiced by less than 10%.

    Human psychology hasn't changed in 1000s of years, let alone the life span of the Internet.

    These things are boring and hard to understand. When you compare them to the sexy whizz bang excitement of 'cutting edge' tactics, they get swept under the rug. But the fact is the fundamentals will make you more money for your entire life than any amount of latest dodad.

    Forget about it. Sort of the whole point of (being successful at) IM is not following everyone else, and realising you can be independent. If you want to show you're good at IM, just do it No-one needs a 'degree' to show they're good at IM.

    For the same cost in college fee's he cold pay for 1-1 tuition
    from an experienced marketer and learn the stuff that really works.

    Instead of leaving college in debt in 3 years, he would have a
    successful business.

    It's a no-brainer!
