How to get "email subscribe" on a site and on a WordPress blog

How do I put a "subscribe by email" box on a wordpress blog?

using a widget?

can you recommend a widget?

i also want to be able to add people manually, and send to the list by mailchimp?

and if possible i want to be able to collect email addresses from another site too that is not wordpress, and add them to the list...

what's the best way to manage this?

    I suggest signing up for aweber and just put there javascript code on your site, our use the wordpress aweber widget.

    Hi applegreensnake, use the text widget in your wordpress admin to place the mailchimp form html code. I don't use mailchimp but I think like other systems, they should make it easy for you to generate the html form code which you can as well place on your other sites.

    If you still don't know how to do it, I may help you on that

    There is a plugin called WP autoresponder that works great. You can add the form to your widget and it works just like any other autoresponder.

    Just search for it on WP Plugin Search. Its free.

    If your doing any type of affiliate marketing DON'T USE MAILCHIMP...

    It's against mailchips TOS to do affiliate marketing of ANY kind - if your able to pay the $1 aweber trial and can get a good funnel going do that.

    If you can't... There is a wp plugin that acts as an autoresponder. Download the FREE Autoresponder Plugin for Wordpress.

    Then you have other options such as get responce. They are free for the first 100 subscribers.
