What should I do in this situation?

Hello,

I ordered a fiverr service and it was not up to scratch, basically everything was done poorly and everything was just done badly.

Most of the links had even been deleted, what do you think I should do?

Should I get my money back or just leave bad feedback?

Thanks.

Why should you be keeping something which you can't use or which is of no help to you right now.

Try to contact the seller and if he says he can't fix it then request for your money back.

NB: but I will advice you to contact the seller first.
Maybe you where given a trial and not the full version.

I'm seeing quite a few Fiverr complaints on the WF and I have to wonder - what level of service can you expect for less than $5. The provider is willing to work for just under $4 after fees and I'm surprised when buyers expect high quality for that. The problem is time - no provider at that rate of pay can spend much time doing something right. No provider who can do things well is going to work for that rate.

I also see the "reason" given that in some countries $4 constitutes a good wage. I don't buy that. If you have paypal and skills you can earn more than $5 on other freelance sites no matter where you live.

I would leave the feedback and let it go.

I suppose, It is probably because on my time on Fiverr I try and do my absolute best, even if it is only for $4... Although there are things on Fiverr which I would rather have spent my money on if I knew that the order was going to be as bad as this!

          Hi All

Fiverr isn't the only plcae where you can get caught out. I just lost $250 on scriptlance.

We just have to learn from our mistakes and move on.

I don't think that just because something is $5 then it doesn't matter. It should at least be to a reasonable standard. A service is a service.

If I went to a fast food restaurant and spent $5, I wouldn't pay for the food if it wasn't cooked. If the service advertised hasn't been done properly, you should make a point of it - even if it's just to stop others getting ripped off as well. Otherwise, the whole cycle keeps continuing.

This. It isn't worth the hassle. I would leave the feedback and move on.

I have been using Fiverr a ton lately but you really have to be careful who you buy from. I never buy a gig from someone unless they have stellar feedback and are a top rated seller.

Obviously don't buy from them again (duh). I'm not sure if you can get a refund or not from Fiverr.

Try emailing the vendor and asking. If they don't respond, simply move on. It's not worth the $5.

There are a ton of good deals on Fiverr, but a lot of them also suck too!

But - you would do the same in any restaurant at any price.

You wouldn't go to a fast food restaurant and expect a meal that was prepared just for you from scratch after you ordered or expect gourmet food for $5.

Price and expectations need to be in the same general range for both buyer and seller to be happy with a transaction.

I bought a wordpress plugin on Fiverr to help me build an Amazon affiliate site. It turns out that it is a pirated copy of a WSO. I'm not sure what Fiverr would do as the seller is from Malaysia. I haven't used the plugin so I guess I'm just out the 5 bucks. I complained to the seller, but he didn't give me a refund. There are some shady sellers on Fiverr.

Well, if you are buying backlinks from fiverr also be aware that there are many spammers on fiverr, although there is nothing wrong with using scrapebox or xrummer to create backlinks, it has now become very in-effective after the Panda udates, in fact you may even get into trouble if you are getting too many of these low quality links. Forget about getting 1000's of links for $5 its not going to work. Also beware of profile links, when you get too many of these you also tend to get penalize easier.

The best way to build links right now is to do it over authority sites that allows you to share files, videos or documents. You'll be much happier with the results, guaranteed!

Be totally aware that there is many notorious people on fiverr that will do anything just to get $5...

You can ask seller about this. Anyway you are paying $5. No results for $5 is very bad. so just demand from seller.

Leave a bad review for the seller should he decide not to grant you a refund or if he doesn't fix the work. However, keep in mind that you always get what you pay for. When I use fiverr or any other cheap service out there, I only outsource work that is not that critical to my operations. This way, if the job is poor, no harm and I just lose a few bucks.

I decided to cancel, I then left it 3 days and the order was automatically cancelled.

He then messaged me 11 minutes ago threatening me that my websites will be sandboxed in the next Google panda update, he also said that I was sick and I should be punished for wasting his $5 and his time...
