To anyone that is decent at IM...do you see any value in this domain name and it's possibilities?

Thanks,
Bryan

Yea, I think I have just as a good as a chance as they do

        healthy tips - Google Search

Seems to be about 588,000 sites out there
        "healthy tips" - Google Search

I wonder if people search more for "health tips" versus "healthy tips"

yea, does sound like a perfect opportunity and niche to get some traffic...then maybe use affiliate marketing for health products.

I'd install a CMS and get others to submit healthy tips as well. FREE CONTENT!

Every day I check the obituaries. If I don't see my name there, then I know it's going to be a good day!

So if I installed something like WordPress...give it a custom theme...would I open the site up to free registrations...where I act as the admin who authorizes there articles?

I thought about the idea of opening it up for content...but letting IM'ers use it to write reviews for products and make money on their affiliate links...but somehow make it so I get some % as well of the action.

Can that work...especially with Clickbank, etc...?

    Hi Bryan,

Absolutely. Nice domain name...short and easy to remember and in a huge market.

I'm sure it has value all on it's own but as others have said it would make a great health portal.

    All The Best,

    Tony

      Ah. I see.

Well, what do you mean by healthy tips? Tips related to general health, fit and healthy, mental health? Or everything?

There is a lot of potential for that title. Depends on the approach you want to take: healthy tips for... the workplace, letter carriers, sports enthusiasts, busy moms, sedentary workers, people in stressful careers, eating right, staying sane... and so on.

You probably want your site to be different, not a knock-off from some other site. Find a unique approach that others aren't taking. Maybe focus on careers & workplace or golfers, etc.

Don't just go by what others have done. Find your niche within your niche.

      Sylvia

PS: Oh, here's another one... healthy tips for backpackers, hikers and outdoor enthusiasts. That would be loads of fun.

Those are great ideas. Originally. I was thinking along the lines of general health, diet, exercise, etc... but yea it has a lot of possibilities.

Maybe its worth throwing the opportunity out to another Warrior member who not only has experience in IM, but has been successful and sees this as a good opportunity to line their pockets with some green, but line mine in the process to

Since I am new...I might not see the immediate value in a domain name or site like we are discussing, but someone else might see it as a gold mind...no clue.

PM me if you think there is a possibility.

        thx

Interesting, however, I for one would not choose such a generic domain name (although I've certainly done so in the past - and learned from it).

So for example, if I were to focus on my last suggestion:
"healthy tips for backpackers, hikers and outdoor enthusiasts"
I would try to come up with a more relevant domain name, one that includes an appropriate keyword phrase like, www.outdoorhealthtips.com - I have no idea if outdoor health (tips) is a keyword or not, but that's the idea.

a friend, fellow WF member, and very successful IM'er said this to me on that whole "domain name" arena

domain names aren't what makes or breaks a site. However, if you're going to do a "niche site" on the health field, then yes, this has a lot of potential to go to various sub-niches as well.

Perhaps you could use subfolders or subdomains for each micro niche, and use the main URL as a portal for each sub section? That way, you can maximise on each keyword set and sub niche within the whole health arena.

thats a good idea...plus if I use subdomains off the root...those are considered "unique" url's...meaning www.site.com and health.site.com are considered differently urls...right?

I "think" there is a wordpress plugin that lets your "categories" become sub domains...but I could be wrong.

Could be a great source for posting heaps of health tips on the site. You could get some targeted traffic and maybe include an opt in listing! Good luck!
