Scribd experience, need feedback please

4 replies
I read something recently suggesting that I should use Scribd.com to publish documents to drive traffic. So I thought what the heck and set up an account and published my first document today with a link to promote something.

I went back a few minutes ago to check it out and had trouble finding it in my account, but finally did find a record of it, pictured below;

Notice 'No Activity' and also notice 7 reads. So how could anyone read it if it doesn't exist. I know I uploaded it.

Did they delete it? I am not familiar with their TOS and when I read it the one time, it seemed to be ok to put links in your stuff. The item I read told me to upload blatant ads to drive traffic. This was pretty much a blatant ad. The item I read was uploading multiple copies of their ads with different key words, but he told me not to upload the 17 I made for my first attempt as that might be a bit over board. This was only one item, but I did have multiple key words/tags inserted.

So is this another dead end I am going down? That is the only path I seem to take any more.

Sure would like some feedback on using Scribd as my frustration level is peaking out.

    Maybe they want more content out of the things posted there...

    I upload tons of stuff to Scribd, though I turn my articles into PDFs with links to my blog and squeeze page. I never have issues with them being deleted or anything.

    I normally just have the link to my squeeze page at the top of the document and then a link to my squeeze page and blog at the end.

      I've got some information on the different methods you can use to get more traffic etc... I just need to find it so let me know if you still want it.

    Hi,

    @AmandaT : Me too i upload tons of articles to Scribd (I turn my articles into PDFs with links to my squeeze page) . My documents are not deleted but i don't get traffic (3 visitors in 10 days, and i have uploaded 300 articles in scribd).

    Does scribd traffic still work or there is a problem of duplicate content ?

    Thank you for your help.

      Scribd is like every other content syndication network.....its not about the numbers......Its about the quality!

      If the content sucks....don't expect any traffic.

      Regards

      Chris
