Would you greatly benefit from in depth wordpress tutorials?

I am in the process of working on my first info product and would like your feedback on the need for such a product. Yes I know there are many ebooks, and videos not to mention PLR, but I truly think I have a USP for this. Please let me know what you think?

Thanks in advance.

It would depend on the topics covered. I think that...since a lot of site providers are using Wordpress for their sites and customer sites..this could be useful. Especially, if you get into the basics of coding. Good luck!

If you are good at something, and you think you can contribute than you should go ahead and give it your best shot. Yes, there are a lot of tutorials out there, but if you can do a bit better than most of them, than you will achieve your goal.
    Good luck!

P.S: If you do go ahead, let me know

I'm afraid you've missed the boat..

An exceptionally high quality set of Wordpress tutorials already exists: WordPress 101 Tutorial Videos - Learn WordPress 3.2 fast! (not an affiliate link) - a 17-part set of HD-quality, professionally-produced, tutorial videos which run directly within the dashboard. These videos are meticulously scripted, narrated and edited and will be automatically updated to keep up with the latest release of WordPress.

I've signed up for the "Unlimited" version, which means I can build them in to every Wordpress install I sell. It's a fantastic marketing point..

There are 3 pricing options, and once purchased they stay 100% current for ever.

If you can write it so the average person can understand it, that'd be great. Some of these things get so technical.

I don't think he's missed the boat. Like Ice said, it doesn't matter how many courses exist if you have a unique angle that's beneficial to the end-user.

If you go to the book store (if you can find one) you'll see fat books on programming. They may all be complete, but as you thumb through them, some authors and their styling of writing will resonate with you. You'll feel a particular author is somebody you want to learn from and you'll choose one book over another.

You're an individual and as such you have a unique perspective. A million comedians have done jokes on the differences between men and women, yet each of them has a different take on the subject so you still laugh even though the topic has been covered a ton.

The angle the OP has (he said he has a USP) may be exactly what somebody needs.

I say conduct a survey or if you can get the product done quickly, go for it!

    Regards,

    Zach

I think you can make it, and even if you won't have buyers, give it for free, and build a list!

Sure there's a market. I wouldn't need it, but I think that a lot of my subscribers might.

    Good luck with it.

WordPress kept upgrading in version and with tons of plugins and themes there, the tutorials might just be outdated too soon. Nevertheless, it'll be good for beginners who want to be on a "guided" mode which such tutorials may come into handy.

Again, maybe it's me, but I'd still prefer to learn the hands-on way, just install it and click every options of the Dashboard, Google a little and that's the best way to learn WordPress.

Thank you all for your responses. Am thinking of listing a WSO here soon with the tutorials. It will be a combination of at least an hours worth of tutorials, a reference guide and at least an hour or two of coaching.

Do you think it would be better to do an a/b split testing plugin instead?

I think the coaching offer might bring in some of the true technophobes. I voted no in your survey because I've found that every time WP does an upgrade, there's a whole bunch of very smart people who rush to YouTube to show the world just how smart they are. Between that, the WP codex, and a few blogs I'm already familiar with, I would not have a need or desire for a package such as you described.

And if I couldn't accomplish what I wanted in a fairly short time, there are even more very smart people willing to show off how smart they are for a very reasonable fee...
