The hottest gender in the fitness niche?

I was just wondering who spends the most money in the fitness niche as I want to start a site in this niche.

I'd ideally like to target womens diet and training, but I don't want to neglect the guys if they are more likely to spend the money.

What are your views?

Cheers
fin

Yeah that was a good idea , you can easily target and convert the female diet niches than Male muscle building etc.

There's been a very big increase in the female bodybuilding searches in the UK over the last few days. Mainly due to a celeb who has done the same thing.

Do you think it's better to have diet in the domain name, or would ****fitness.com be good?

depending on which keyword you think will be better ( more searches ) , still depends on which niche your targeting

It's going to be a unique domain name. I will target keywords in my articles but I want to do article marketing with it.

I just want to be sure that if fitness is in the domain name, women will still look at it if they want to lose weight.

I would say fitness covers diet, but you know what happens when you presume.

Hi Fin, you can target both successfully, no need to neglect one or the other.

Although male and female focuses are different. I'm sure you'll find a way to incorporate them in. For instance, women are more focused on losing weight, toning up, etc. Men are more focused on getting muscles.

Why not check out some popular fitness blogs to see how they're doing it? It really doesn't have to be one or the other but you can specify "this is for the guys" in some posts if you like and vice versa.

I may be going against the grain, but larger, voluptuous girls are gaining some attention.

If the niche is bodybuilding & fitness, it's male.
If the niche is weightloss, it's female.

I would imagine that males spend the most here. There are more lies and different techniques targeted towards males. HECK, NOW there are products targeted towards males that want to work against the scam products.
