Recommended books to read for online marketers?

Paul Myers has an excellent beginner's guide called "Need to Know". I can't remember for sure so don't shoot me if I'm wrong, but I believe it's a free guide. If not it's cheap. Either way - it's a good practical no nonsense guide for those just starting out.

The best one I've ever read is Mike Dillard's Magnetic Sponsoring. Really opened my eyes and when I started implementing what he thought, results really surprised me. It's how you should market your business the right way. If you're interested to get a copy, feel free to pm me.

If you want to follow something solid without all the hype, then read Kevin Riley's Clockwork Manifesto, can get on Kindle at Amazon. In 4 years, one of the best I have ever read, I even left a testimonial video on there. It is also very complete, right down to how to install wordpress, plugins etc. The mindset section at the begining is very good too. Ask ANYBODY on this forum what they think of Kevin Roley and you will get possitive replies for sure.

As for me, Steve Krug and his "Don`t make me think" is useful and interesting book! I recommend it!

These are the few books I found to be very useful and essential for any internet marketer:

1. How to Make A Six-Figure Income Online- Your Blueprint For Success- by Jimmy D Brown: I just love anything from Jimmy. He is a legend. This is a must read for anyone starting out in internet marketing. This will save you from lots of frustration and pit falls.

2. How I Made My First Million On The Internet and How You Can Too! -by Ewen Chia: This is a wonderful book you can get in amazon (This is the only paid one and it casts around $12 or so). It gives you a complete blueprint on how to set up your online business from ground zero. I love this book and learned a lot from it.

3. Create Your First Website by 3:45 This Afternoon- by Chris Ferrell: This is a wonderful book that gives you all the knowledge you need to know about how to get your website up and running and make money from it. Chris is one of the most wonderful and genuine person I have found in this online world.

4. The Internet Business Manifesto by Rich Schefren: Rich is a big name and is known as the Guru of the Gurus. His client list is pretty impressive and his stuff is of great quality as far as marketing is concern.

5. The Six Figure Blogger Blueprint By David Risley and The Blog Profit Blueprint by Yaro Starak are the 2 free book on blogging and internet marketing in general, that you cannot miss out on as its pure gold. These are 2 of the best bloggers we have in the industry and they know their stuff. Just grab them for free.

There are many more of them but these are the 6 books that I think can provide some really powerful and valuable information to start-up with.

Dan Kennedy - No BS Marketing To The Affluent (written way before he ever did an IM course) - a must read

Influence The Psychology Of Persuasion - Robert Cialdini

Anything by Dan 'the man' Kennedy is worth reading because there are some valuable ideas in there.

Instant Income, by Janet Switzer is a fantastic book. I have the hardback version, not actually sure if there is a Kindle version yet or not. If there is though I can highly recommend it.

I hate any book ABOUT affiliate marketing, most of them are written by Gurus who only money was selling that book and other crap. Read books on copyrighting, on landing pages.

Some of my favorites are:

The 80/20 principle
The E-Myth Revisited
The Four Hour Work Week

I figured they would already be on there. The Four Hour Work week is the only one new enough to have some IM in it, but the other 2 will help you out significantly in figuring out how to get your business going, and what to focus on.

I would start with Think and Grow Rich
Then move on to Scientific Advertising Donated in another thread by Warrior CDarklock.

Both are in the Public Domain and FREE!

Then you can move onto the others listed above...
