Yeah...I'll be there...but as an exhibitor...at least for some of the time. I have a considerable interest in one of them and I've been roped into pressing the flesh. I'll also be getting up to no good on the CIM stand. Not sure exactly what though. I've been asked by a few mates to do something, but I haven't been briefed properly yet. I'll probably be in the bar most of the time, as usual. ![]() I'm pretty surprised to see this mentioned on the WF! Thomas |

Cheers all for the info on the lunch, TFM & Lee McIntyre's coaching! Very useful. I'll be going from Birmingham New Street. I probably won't stay down in London as it's only just over an hour's journey to Euston for me and I have a season ticket due to regular travel to London anyway. |

I think its sad that the London lunch requires you to pay for lunch in advance. I've been there before and could not make the beginning of the lunch (I work a regular job) but was still able to turn up and get a few drinks. Is the restaurant now demanding payment upfront Martin? |

Really confused about transport there and back now. A part of me is actually considering driving there to save costs and train hassle. Does anyone have any recommendations for getting there? I've looked into coaches but the estimated times are stupidly long ![]() Thanks, - James. |

Can't make the London event this year, but would be interested in a NW meetup if anyone else is up for it.

Since you asked, the deal with the London Lunch is that you get a good 3-course meal, plus a glass of wine and a coffee in a top-class London hotel for £30. But in reality, you are really paying for hours of highly beneficial networking that has been organized on your behalf. Do you think you should have got in free then? If so, why didn't you ask me at the time? That would hardlt have been fair on the other people who had paid, don't you think? As far the restaurant is concerned, they charge according to how many bums there are on seats. If you were there, I will have been charged for you. For people who don't turn up on the day, having paid their fee, the situation is clear - their money goes to charity. I run the London Lunch pretty much at cost - taking only a very small amount to cover my costs. Any money left over for any reason goes to charity. Are you coming to the next one? Martin

I really don't understand your problem - we get an absolute bargain. 3 courses in a West End venue. Pre and post networking in the bar... To sit with and spend time with some of the best marketers in the world... Organized and run by someone else. It costs £30 to reserve your space - the rest is free :-) Rob.

When I was living in France, I used to pay my return air ticket and a couple of nights in a hotel as well as the cost of the lunch. It was always worth it because I learnt so much and made my money back quickly. At the lunches I've had long conversations with Kymi, Harvey Segal, Bob Puddy, and Glenn Leader. I've met the guy who wrote Website Article Wizard and the owner of XSite Pro. Even Martin Avis seems to know a thing or two ;-) And did I mention Phil Wiley or Andy Henry? But even if you don't meet up with any star names at all, the quality of most of the participants is so high that you'll enjoy it - and shame on you if you can't make back your £30 ;-) Pearson |
