GKIC Info Summit!? Anyone??

Alright so I'm not sure if this is the right place for this post (I looked through the rules and it didn't say anything specific--if you know of a better location, please let me know), but I just bought Dan Kennedy's GameChanger DNA program a few days ago and I signed up for the GKIC Info-Summit as well.

Since I'm fairly new to the internet marketing world and I'm still working on developing my first product I figured I'd ask you all what you think of the Summit?

And of course, because it's never too soon to start networking I thought I'd find out if anyone else is going to this year's Summit as well... : )

So are you going?

Have you been there in the past?

What did you think of it?

How did it help your business?

What information would you recommend I go in looking for?

Which speakers are you most excited for?

And anything else you can think of...

I hope to see you in a month!

    Hi Jeff,

I'm not going to the summit, but I AM a member of GKIC and have bought several Dan Kennedy products over the years.

If it's coming from Dan Kennedy, it's good -- and worth every penny. Well, at least I think so. Of course, how valuable it is to you depends on you, your business, where you are with your business, etc.

Go and have a good time! Network. Get involved in your local GKIC chapter if there is one.

Sorry that this isn't as specific as you wanted, but it's all I've got.

I too am a member, and I have been to the summit before. One word of advice - leave your credit card at home. In fact, put it into a container of water, place that in your freezer, let it become rock solid so you can't get at your card.

The summit will be a pitchfest with some of the best "sellers from the stage" you have ever heard.

Remember - Don't take your card - or your check book - or cash.

Before you go, sew all your pockets shut so you can't be tempted to take money.

Haha I figured there would be some pitching--although what you've described sounds a bit over the top, I can believe it.

There IS still good info that you can glean from the speakers though, right? Would you say the cost (as long as you don't buy tons of products) is still justified by the value?

I have not yet been and really wish I could go--Info Summit is supposed to be their best event of the year. I know a number of people who have gone before and thought it rocked.

You will get a ton of good info. But you'll be amazed at what they can do in a few minutes of pitching at the end of each session.

The days will run very long. It's a proven psych principle that the more tired people are, the more susceptible they are to impulse purchases...

In other words, the more days you get into it, the more you'll need to hide your credit card from yourself!

What was "Dan Kennedy's GameChanger DNA program" like?

Is it mainly his older stuff he released a few years ago?

I'm not sure. I haven't received it yet (it's a physical product--I should get it tomorrow) and I also am not familiar with what products you're talking about that he released a few years ago.

The products I'll be receiving are:

    1. The Supernatural Influencer DNA Code

    2. The Seven Gold Keys of Influential Communication and Game-Changer Marketing

    3. The Lords Of List-Building

Are those the products from a few years ago?

Go there and network. Like many have said here, lock your credit card up. Most of the folks who pitch at these events are in Bill and Dan's mastermind groups. Like I said, you will learn more on breaks in the hallways then you will in the actual sessions. ( The breakout sessions are good too.)

I have too bought Game changer DNA, and quite frankly I'm a little underwhelmed.
Heart of the product is a small box of cd's and a couple of dvds. The CD's contain his "Golden Keys" presentation which lasts for roughly about 1 hour, and the lions share are the supernatural influence presentation, which is basically a recording of one of his stage presentations / workshops,
without any reworking of it in order to match to his audience for the dna program, which I would say is IM and aspiring IM marketeers.
Given it was promoted using a product launch formula via internet affiliate marketing I would have thought it would be less esoteric and more in your face, basically I would guess that most people who bought it are in a Job and want to move on their IM buisiness or Web Idea to get out of that job and be a succesfull entrepeneur, the whole thing seems to speak to people who are running an existing business, Hardly the shiney object killer that he promised during his product launch.
I have no doubt that he knows his stuff, my point is that he has sold a $2K product without taking an ACTIVE intrest in whether it meets the requirements of his target audience (Is that not what he teaches?).

An example of what I mean is I consume multimedia content while commuting to work (walk/train) he is just talking on stage constanly referring to handouts he has given the audience, Included in a huge heavy book I think (not sure if they match up exctly as it's not something I can take with me on my way to work).
Poor quality photocopies supplied without any reference as to where they fit. Maybe i'm missing something (The emperor has no cloths?) but it looks like I need to start a carpet cleaning business or a laundrymat so I can really put his is teaching to good use. $2K for essentially a few hours of poorly recorded material.

And Just for the record I bought Jeff Johnson's Super Affiliate coaching club package - Good Value, Eben Pagans Guru Mastermind - Good Value.
John Carlton's Simple writing system - Good value but a little mean with website access. Programs by Ryan Deiss - Good value. Point being I'm slow to complain.

Maybe I'm missing something, would be interested to hear others opinions.

      Cheers

      Sean
