You look at the word company and think big things, well sorry it's just your standard web design and business branding company.

I have been working my butt off designing and developing Visum Designz I think it looks very professional I have been designing for a while now I don't care what anyone thinks it's fabulous lol

but I need to land clients. I have been spending days and days on freelancer and elance and can't land one client.

My strategy is to get local clients with a good pitch and professional business card. but in the meantime im trying to get work online. How do I do it?

I just want to design a few websites to make money to be able to grow. I do have a few clients but it scarce I want MORE lol 2 is not enough..

I have a little bit of time to kill and want some insight I feel like I might pick up a new tactic in landing clients with your help (well I am hoping)

How about offering a free web design for a few reputable businesses? That way you can get business via referrals. People feel more confortable doing business with someone that has testimonials.

    Just a thought

Good thought but I have already done that. I have made websites for my friend who is a contractor, then a site for a basketball league, then a site for a church, I just have a hard time competing with the gold members on freelancer and elance. People won't hire me because I have no work on their site but how do I get work If I cant get hired?

Something on your pricing page stood out to me. The first feature you mention is MySQL. Is somebody who's going to pay you this much money to make a website and host it going to know or even care what MySQL is? It's the first thing mentioned after the package name and price, perhaps you could find something more compelling to occupy that space. #OccupySpace

Your home page tagline "We offer affordable websites that are professional we capture your vision and showcase it on the web" is clumsy.

You have a typo in your scrolling text. You spell "gaurenteed."

I think with mistakes like these you'll have a hard time getting clients from your site.

Also, your blog is under construction which doesn't help.

If I were you, after fixing your site, I'd do the following:

    • Start blogging going after specific keywords, perhaps by industry (i.e. restaurant web design). I'd take it further going after your local area (i.e. Seattle restaurant web design).
    • You might put together a business plan and think about building websites in a niche industry such as restaurants, accountants etc.
    • Consider adding on SEO services. Many small businesses want/need SEO services and it's a way to provide add-on services. If you don't do SEO, team up with an SEO.
    • Network in your area in places and events where other small business owners congregate.

Hope this helps and good luck.

The first thing I see on the website is "We offer affordable websites that are professional we capture your vision and showcase it on the web."

That surely needs punctuation in the middle.

"We offer many services, choose one you need for your project.." has two periods and would probably be better with 'choose the one'

"we do the same but.instead with pixels." has an extra period in the middle and should end 'but with pixels instead'.

I strongly recommend you get the site properly proofread as there are quite a few other little errors which, as jgant points out, will put clients off using you.

Hello Nikeman! When my husband decided that we (as a couple with few friends) should start our own company(photography for hire), I was a bit hesitant about the idea. I always imagined myself getting into a business, but my husband is determined. We were a couple of newbies with little background about business and marketing. Michael(my husband), had me this feeling of assurance that we can make it. We started out well, we got some clients. But it wasn't enough, with a triplet on the way, we need to get more client. And it was a struggle for us. Let's just say we weren't gifted when it comes to sales talk. But it didn't stop us, knowing the right thing to say would be the key on getting a client. So we read books and articles to help us. One of which we recently read is How to prepare quotes for clients that get accepted. It gave us more guidelines.
