This can't be right.. can it?

I've finally managed to get a website to the no.1 position. The search term '1 click fix' has 22,000 searches a month, and my site www.registrycleanerv.com even ranks above the product I am trying to sell on Clickbank. So, how many visits should my site expect to get per day, 100? 500? Nope, it gets 1 or 2. I wouldn't find it so frustrating if I was getting loads of visits and no sales, at least I would know it's my fault, but WTF am I doing wrong?

If you used the Google Keyword Tool to get the estimated number of 22,000 searches per day, unfortunately I have found the tool to be very hit and miss.

I use the numbers only as a guideline and always use "exact match" searches never "broad". The only real and viable way to test for estimated traffic numbers is to run a PPC campaign. It can be a pain but it's the only method that has any real validity.

The Adwords Keyword tool shows that '1 click fix' has only 320 exact and 880 phrase searches per month.

Additionally, your website is on the 5th position when I searched for '1 click fix'.

These 2 factors could explain the low visits you're getting.

I saw position #5 as well, behind the owner and a couple of Cnet listings.

Beyond that, the title and description read like classic review flogs. Compare that with authority reviews from one of the heavyweights in your market and a free download from the original vendor.

The honest truth? If I were interested in such a product, I never would have seen your listing, and would have skipped it if I had.

      Better luck next time...

In addition to the points already made, if you've been using the same computer to track your site's ranking, you might well be getting results tailored to your own use.
