Looking for thoughts and feedback on a new site I am working on

I have recently put up a new website that is made for users to share deals and coupons found online, and in return they earn credits.
  1. What do you think of the website?
  2. What do think it's lacking?
Basically....for whatever reason I am not getting any great ideas to improve it....sometimes it just takes an outside eye to lend an eye!

Any thought on finding companies that would 'donate' a giveaway or a discount to members that earn a lot of points? - in trade for 'static' long term ads?

    Hey Quirpo where are you at in Wisconsin? I'm in Fond du Lac.

    I like the idea of the site and the point system. For that to work you definitely need incentives and other ways of user interaction. Not sure which content management system your using but look into plugins that make the site even more social- for example users should be able to upload their photo and fill out profile information, comment on deals, etc.

    I think you should also make it required that all posts need a photo. That will make the site look more legitimate. Also the logo doesn't match the topic, how about adding a sale sign somewhere on it or something like that?

    Once users start submitting deals you should see traffic from search engines. In the mean time to get things going you might want to consider PPC traffic. I'm actually becoming a Google advertising partner so let me know if you'd like to try out Adwords, I get a lot of money to give away for free

    Another marketing idea is once users submit a deal, they should have the option to 'tell their friends'.

      I live in Green Bay....but I own a Marketing Company in Oshkosh, WI.

      The website is built off of wordpress.....and it does have most all of the features you have mentioned. The only reason some images are not showing, is that some deals are being imported from rss feeds now to help populate the website, and they will only show the images when you click to see the full article!

      Not worried about traffic.......I know how get traffic, just want the site at it's best before I start promoting it!

    Yeah I do online marketing consulting, mostly online clients and about to try out a few local campaigns here in FDL.
