Are You A PLR Packrat?

Hi Warriors,

Time to 'fess up, how much PLR do you hoard on your computers vs the stuff that you actually use?

Are you someone who goes around the internet collecting PLR pack after PLR pack thinking that "one day" you'll "get around to it"?

Be honest

Only if I see true value in it for others to learn from I'll buy or get PLR when I bump into it. I'm definitely not looking for them. Most PLR products are way outdated anyway...

    Guilty as charged.

Not sure exactly how much as some of it is spread between several USB drives, but I know the folder on this computer is in the double-digit gigabyte range.

    Shameful, I know.

I have to say that I've been a hoarder in the past -- love PLR! But, I have slowed way down and using it as needed for my projects...it's such a time saver. (Still, it's hard to get over the addiction -- you know! lol)

Haha! As they say, the first step towards recovery is admitting you have a problem.

What do you find is the biggest thing stopping you from using PLR in your business?

Not so much a "packrat" now as I used to be. As someone else said, a lot of the free stuff is outdated; it's overworked, over-rewritten, and stale.

However, it's a great starting point for the four niches I'm currently in so once in a while I go through what I have for new content.

I have cut down to where I'm only subscribed to one free delivery/day PLR website and I've learned to really take a good look at it before I'll keep it.

I do have a fair bit of it that I planned to use and just never got around to it. I usually only buy PLR from writers that I trust to have good quality and then I still rewrite it. I think using PLR is one of those things we tend to put off and put off and put off......

I have to admit I have a fairly thick folder of PLR sitting on my hard drive. Most of it is PLR I purchased or gotten free from writers here, so I know it's top quality. I have more than I have used though.

I have 47.5 GB in just one folder. There's more in my unorganized folder which I'm in the process of sorting into the correct folders.

Yes, I'm a PLR packrat but I use them over and over again. If I get the chance for free PLR, I grab it and then go through it, tossing any crap into the recycle bin and just keeping the usable material. When I buy, it's usually with a plan in mind but I keep all the raw materials because I can use them again in the future in a different way.

Good PLR in evergreen niches is worth its weight in gold because the information is timeless.

Like some of the others have mentioned, I too have a small older hard drive filled with nothing but. I still regard my PLR purchases as some of the best deals I've ever got.
It's like having a big personal library of hard cover books (which I also have) ...

I have quite a bit of plr on my hard drive as well. A lot of it was purchased for a specific reason and has already been used in some sort of fashion, but I still plenty that I haven't touched. The nice thing about having it is that it is there any time I need it.

Yeah there is something about having the 'if I really need it it is there' folder and most of the articles have been used for my active campaigns.

As for the others, I used to have over 15,000 packs but I had a clean out and they have been put onto my external drive. One day I will go through them and they will be useful ........just like that cardboard box collection in the shed, and the old sofa .....oh and the cot mattress.....
