How the heck can google recognize my picture

Hey,

Today I was playing a little with pictures. I looked for one on google and printscreened it, saved it on my computer and edited it (resolution, size, colours..)

Then I went and upload it on one site. I copied the url of it in google search engine and found a person that was on the picture. How the heck can google know who`s on photo if I edit it totally??? Any way to get around that?

See if you get results when you put it in TinEye Reverse Image Search

Google uses TinEye for their reverse image search

    Did you rename the picture?

If that's not it, then perhaps its from the imbedded properties of the photo. For example jpgs store the author name, title, subject, tags, comments, image ID (different than image name), copyright information and a lot more... You can view some of these properties by right clicking the photo and click on properties-->details. This can be edited I'm sure.

I read something about that google can recognize photos.. I change name, resolution, colours, size. I even deleted all picture details

      Google is genious

It only works if I register at some picture uploading company and set it to private.

You forgot to check/change the properties of the pic. Pics are sent in binary...google can read binary just like all the other engines.

Next time, right click on the pic and select "properties" and make any adjustments there then save the pic.

The fact is. I didn`t download a picture. I pressed printscreen and save it to Paint first..

Looooool, this is freakin awesome or freakin stupid, not sure .. I just take a photo of one sportsman I have on my wall and sent a picture from camera on my PC, then upload it and guess what? I copied the URL into google and I get some more pictures and also the name of the sportsman. This is creepy. So I can go and take a photo of a random person on the street, upload it see who he/she is? (if the person has some more pictures on the internet)
